I decided that I didn't want to go out this year and stand in lines and deal with rude people. But I would love to hear from those of you that did what deals you got from the Black Friday sales and if it was worth it! :D

Okay, first excuse any typos...i'm holding the baby....

DH and I got to Meijer at 4:15 a.m. We wanted to purchase 2 of the Apex mobile DVD players for the kids and the CD boombox for my mom. We got in the line and it turned out to be the wrong line so we relocated to the correct area. We finally made to the counter around 6:30 and they had four of the DVD players left and we got two of them! Hooray! DH wanted to take them to the car right away so we would not get mugged and I was going to get at the end of the crazy long lines to pay for the cd player. I was walking past customer service, no one was in line so I paid for my purchase there and we were on our way in no time!

Total saved at Meijer: $140

Next stop was Staples for a fax machine for the in-laws.

Total saved at Staples: $55 (after rebate)

Our final stop was Toys R Us. We purchased two Bionicles (buy one get one free) and Mulan and Aladdin on DVD. Oh, and a toy for the baby. We had to wait in line about 40 minutes there.

Total saved at Toys R Us: $21.95

We were home by 9:15 a.m. and saved around $217! :hyper: :teeth:

We normally do not spend a lot on Christmas anyway. The kids will get home sown PJ's and a display board for their Disney pins that I designed and made. Their big super surprise gift this year is a trip to Disney!

I did shop online last night but woke up around 7:30 and headed over to the disney store and they had a awesome sale.
I spent $150. all the items were additional 20% off the prices below.

4 incredibles figures $4.99 each
Incredible Violet $12.37
12 inch black power ranger $14.50
power ranger phone $5.00
violet PJ set $8.99
7pck incredible undewear $16.41
tinkerbelle slippers $7.25
tinkerbelle PJ set $13.25
sleeping beauty gown $19.87
7pck princess undewear $16.41
charm bracelet x2 $9.99 with free 3 charms for each
power ranger cups x2 $1.50
jasmine cups x2 $1.50
princess sweatshirt $7.49

It was crowded when we got there but the store was fully stocked with everything. the kids and I had a fun time.we waited like 15 minutes in line. I didnt venture anywhere else since I had hit the sales online. hope everyone found what they were looking for

Well we hit Staples before I had to come to work. Got plenty of stuff and spent $187 -- after rebates it should be less than half of that.

The only problem is the DVD burner that we got on major sale DOESN"T work.

And Dh says Staples rebate site on line is screwed up.

So we were up and out and at Wal-Mart by 5:20am. Waiting in line until 6am. WOW! I can't believe this! There weren't nearly as much people as last year.

We have a Super Wal-Mart which has 3 entrances. The one by the lawn & graden section was closed. Has been for about a week. Black Friday? Not sure? So any how I wait by the food department entrance because last year most of the stuff I wanted was by the food. Wal-Mart is pretty tricky. Actually though, this year the computers that were on sale for $498.00 were already in carts waiting to go. I'm sure that made it so much easier for the customers.

Standing in line waiting was definitely worth my time. The vaccum cleaner on sale was @ the front of store. Spotted that while waiting in line. Then, an extremely nice Wal-Mart emloyee told me where to find the DVD players on sale. So 3 minutes into opening, I have 4 of the 7 items I came for. So silly me decided to go to the electronics department to look for a DVD for a co-worker. Holy smoly! Apparently, people can't grasp the concept of moving along because I stood still for over 15 minutes. Then, a Wal-Mart employee comes barrelling down the aisle shouting that we needed to clear the aisle. No kidding! And how exactly would you like me to do that? Because if you know how I can get out this aisle, by all means, lead the way!

So here were my finds:

Eureka Bagless Vaccuum: $42
DVD Player: $27.99
Tube Socks-men's 12-pack: $6.00 each
Hair Dryer: $4.77
Sandwich makers: $4.77
Back massager: $4.97-not sure these were advertised
Board games 2-pack: $4.77
Sony Cyber shot digital camera, memory card, and carrying case, & 3-year warranty: $439.99

Savings: who cares, I definitely got some good deals

I love Black Friday. Of course, it's so much better when you don't have to be in work at 9am and work until 5pm and have your 1st date with the guy you would like to marry all in the same day.

I only had time to go to Sears (nightmare with the GC thing there) and Macy's. For about 20 bucks I got:

four sweaters
6 pairs of socks
1 plug in air freshner (macy's)
2 nice xmas ornaments
1 pack nutcrackers
1 full size bath body works shower gel
1 burt bees lip balm

I'm pretty happy because all of it is for ME!! LOL. Well, I did give my sis one of the sweaters because I really didn't like it, but it was free :D

Wanted to get up early, but well late night, it didn't work out too well. I dropped my DW off at work and then headed to Meijer for a look at the Portable DVD player. At about 10:30AM they had 30 left so I bought 2 and a Turkey Deep Fryer. THen at about 11:25am my friend heard that I bought one and we headed back up to get another one... There was still 7 left, so even though I didn't wake up at the crack of dawn I was able to get the big items I wanted. Next up is Kohls for the Bissel Carpet Cleaner on sale :)

I chickened out and stayed home!

There wasn't anything that I REALLY needed, and the news showed hundreds of people lined up all over town. If I could have gone by myself, maybe. But since DH had to be at work at 6 AM I would have been dragging DS along. Recipe for disaster!

I was at the Disney Store by 5:30. Everything in the store was an additional 20% off (except DVDs I think) anyways I got

3 pair of pj pals pajamas
2 princess dolls
3 pairs of kids slippers
2 packages girls underwear
Aladdin DVD
2 Christmas ornaments
BUzz light year light up toy
a pair of girls silky pajamas

All for $135.00

I also went to Macy's and got huge savings:

3 baby girl outfits
1 baby girl robe
2 toddler boy complete outfits

All for $39.00

Toys R Us

Good buys: Crayola Super Art Set $9.99
Fisher Price Medical Kit $4.99
All Nickelodeon tapes 1/2 price - I got Blues Clues for
$4.99 each

Gymboree - everything in store was an additional 30 % off - got two really nice sweatpants, zipper sweatshirts and tops total price $80.00

Children's Place - toddler boys pea coat $29.99
TOddler boy footed pajamas - $8.00

I'm exhausted!

Do you know if the disney store sales are all day or was it just until a certain time? I want to get DS The Incredibles figures for 4.99, but I have to work until 2:30. I tried to stop in there this morning and the line was out into the mall!!

I stayed home till 6 and ordered my staples items online. They became active around 5:45...the site was EXTREMELY slow, but I had everything in my cart since 4 AM and just had to refresh it when they put the sale prices in.
Then I headed to Kohls, got:
A coat 69.99
crock pot 24.99
warmup suits for the kids 9.99 each piece
a snowman candle centerpiece 13.00
Flannel sheet set (queen) 29.99
Uno electric game 7.99
Cell phone barbie 1/2 off I think about 15.00
HOt wheels something (I can't remember) 10.00
Playschool instuments 10.00
coin sorter 17.99\
coin rolls 2.49
and some other things I can't remember...lol they are still in the car! Pluse I got $50 worth of coupons for another day!
The only thing that really bummed me out was I couldn't use my 15% off coupon because I couldn't find it!! Would have saved another $40!! I still have hope though and hopefully they will let me use it if I show them the receipt!

I was at Penney's by 6 am, and then hit Kohls, Target, Radio Shack, Kmart, Home Depot and was done by 10 am.

There was no line at Penney's and I received the free Disney snow globe and saved $90 on the down coat I'd been wanting.

The line at Kohl's was another story. The lines wrapped around the store and I spent more time standing than I did shopping. This was ok and everyone was in a relaxed, good mood. I saved over 50% in my early bird purchases of shirts, massager mat, wax paraffin, and cordless hand vac. I left there at 7:30 and will be going back next week to use my $10 reward coupon.

Target was very busy but I found shorter lines. I got everything advertised I wanted! Most of want I took was either the last or next to last item left: board games, gameboy advance games, DVD's, snow saucer.

Radio Shack had nothing left of their early specials.

Kmart had very warm fleece pullovers for buy 1 get 1 free. They also had women's disney fleece on sale. The popular dvd's were sold out.

Home depot had 5 1/2" red poinsettias for $1.69. I bought 4!

Now, I'm going to have leftover turkey and stuffing, and take a nap!

Oh I forgot, hubby went to Sears. They had $10 gift cards to the first 200 customers. Of course he was there with only a few other people to go in the store and find out he was at the WRONG door! He complained to the manager but she said there were signs up for the past 3 days even though there was NO sign up today (which would have been the time to put it up, don't ya think?? ) Anyway, since the store has like 7 entrances, it should have been clearly stated which was the one they were going to give the cert. out at. We are going to call the corporate office on that, especially since he waited a half hour at that door and no one came by to tell them.
Anyway, he got 2 portable CD players, a pen/camera thing (not sure what it is), and a laser level.
I also sent him to JC Penny to get the free snowglobe...very cute!

Same exact thing happened to me! I got to Sears at 5am, drove around to the doors, no one was at them so went inside the mall and found they had formed a line at the entrance of Sears (I was third), so I stood for 45 minutes. Then a "manager" (he wasn't a manager) came out and said the 100 of us in line were standing at the wrong door and we needed to go to package pickup (where there was now 250 people in line) and we had to get at the end. I was really mad. There were no signs (only at the package pickup door, which you can't see unless you go around this corner they had). In the end I got the $10 GC because myself and the others that had been there since 5am complained, but it was definately poorly organized!

I was up and out the door by 4:30, hit Sportmart and got my DH golf clubs & golf balls and my DS the 300 pound weight set, and my DD a volleyball ...saved $260.00 !!!

I then went to the Disney store for some items and changed my mind after I saw the line around the perimiter of the ENTIRE store, I was so disappointed because I especially wanted the reindeer eeyore !

Then I hit circuit city for that portable DVD player, some CDs and DVDs and a plug and play ms pacman ...saved $180.00

Then I hit Kohls and bought a bunch of clothes and socks, a foot spa, and some other stuff..... saved ... dunno???

Then I hit Sears and bought clothes, blankets, towels, personal care kits and a few small things for the shelter ... saved $175.00

I slept in and left the house around 9:30
hit Walmart- they were out of everything I wanted so went to

Target
Lizzie McGuire GBA- $23.99
Pirates of Caribbean GBA- $9.99
Sonic Collection PS2 $19.99 (not on sale)
Plug and Play Atari- $12.00
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas DVD $12.88

Then I hit another Walmart and they had everything I wanted:
Game Boy Advance $39.99
LeapPad with 2 books $20
Leap Pad books $7.88

The only thing I couldn't find at Walmart- I came home and oredered online was a 2 screen portable DVD system plays DVDs, CDs, and MP3 CDs $199

I got to the Disney Store around 7:00 am. The store was very crowded, but they did a good job of having everything out. I grabbed all 6 of the Incredibles figures and a pull over fleece for my son. About $88 worth of merchandise, I paid only $37 :) I WAS able to use my DVC discount in addition to the 20% bonus discount. I wanted to go to Kohls, but decided it was probably just better if I went ahead and went into work - there wasn't a parking space left in their parking lot.

DH was out the door at 5:30am and headed to Walmart, he called and said the lines were huge!! But he called back 30min. later and had gotten what he wanted. Three of the portable DVD players @ 99.74 each( one for each of the kids) and two game boy advance @ 39.93. So fun!!!!

This is my first year going out for Black Friday!
I was up late making my lists of things to do today. DD, 2 yr old, woke at 3am and then again at 4:00 am. I got her back to sleep but was unable to fall back asleep myself. So, got up, got dressed and off I went.

KMart 5:30am waiting til 6:00 opening. Around 20 people in line ahead of me and another 30 behind me.
-Beyblades: buy one get one, got a total of 4 - saved $15
-Disney Princess Laptop and Carebear Castle back for price adjustments = saved $51.

Off the TRU (30+minutes away).
Arrived a bit after 7:00, store was packed with a huge checkout line. Things were very organized though.
-Lego Star Wars AT-AT (last one on shelf) = saved $50
-Princess & Pauper Barbie (both dolls) = saved $10
-Mickey's Twice Upon Christmas DVD = saved $7
-Gamecube game = saved $5

Headed over to mall, arrived before 8:00
KBToys- line to get in, they only let in a few people at a time.
-FP Christmas town (one for DD, one for nephew) = saved $20
-FP Purse = saved $6

JCPenny - extra 10% off
-Grandma sweatshirt = saved $15
-Nascar Monopoly = saved $20

Yankee Candle store (for me & gifts)
-coupon...spend $45 get $15 off -

I headed home and was back to warm house by 9:30. I am so happy that I was able to actually get things that were on the lists.
Yeah!!!
:bounce:

Yesterday - KMart - went to purchase Polly Pocket roller coaster. They were sold out before 10:00. I took the ad over to Walmart and they price matched it = saved $15.

We went to Walmart Wednesday night for shoes for DH and I saw a video game storage cart I wanted to get DD and she picked out a pair of sneakers she liked. I couldn't get them while she was with me, so I vowed to come back, but dreaded shopping at Walmart on Black Friday.

We got back from Thankgiving dinner and I called to check if Walmart was open. The SuperCenter was, but not the other Walmarts. Since I wasn't interested in any of the BF specials I went to the SWM at 6pm Thursday evening, finding it less crowded than a typical Saturday afternoon. I shopped for almost two hours, putting about $150 of merchandise that includes gifts 6 people on layaway.

This morning I planned to go to my place of employment (I tooke the day off), Boscov's, to pick up a clearance handbag that was 75% off until 11am. The Emilie M. tote bag was marked down to $29.98 from $45 and at 75% off I paid less than $7!

While I was home in the morning I saw a tv ad for Boscov's, that they had a $19.99 DVD player (after $10 rebate). Seems like everyone had this deal this year, but I wasn't sure who I could give it too, but I thought of someone and bought one. My employee discount brought my final price down to $26.99 from the $29.99 sale price, plus tax I paid $28.61 and I'll get $10 back from the rebate.

DD and I browsed over the jewelry because she wants square cut "diamond" earrings. We found an appropriately sized pair of 14k and CZ and they are 70% off $32. My price after employee discount was $8.10....and she's not even sure that I bought them because she was wandering about the department.
