Went to Circuit City at 3AM for the 399.00 laptop. 99 with Vonage, 399 without.
They went to the line, asked who was getting Vonage, and distributed vouchers to them. Very quietly, I might add.
If there were any vouchers left, then they went to the people in the front of the line. But the Vonage deal was, from what I heard, a Fastpass. The ad said nothing about this, and the reply to the sixty or so other people who complained was "Sorry" in a tone that really said "Too bad."

I'm never going back to Circuit City.

WooHoo!

I've been waiting for a particularly gorgeous wool designer suit to go on sale at Macy's. I'm normally not into overpriced designer stuff, :p but I love the detailed, multi-colored pin-striping that is woven into this one. It's even textured because of the pin-striping. It's worth every penny at the full price, looks it. I need a new suit for work, but would never dream of paying the price they are asking: $288 + tax. :faint:

BUT, I've learned never to buy anything at full price at Macy's. :) It's a new style, so it hasn't even been on sale at all in the 5 weeks I first spied it. I had been so worried someone else would snag the only one in my size.

Well tonight, I braved the BF crowds to see if it's finally on sale. (I didn't shop this morning.) I found most people left town for the holiday weekend. Even with the tourists who came in, it was a fairly light crowd. And everyone was in a good mood. :goodvibes

I found my suit was 50% off! :dance3:
My designer suit originally priced at $288 was down to $142.55

I got to use my Macy's charge card which gave me another 15% off of that price! Also, the suit was sold as separates. Here in NYC, we don't have to pay tax on clothing items under $110. The sale price for each item individually was less than that. So, having them rung up separately, my final price for my suit is:
$121.17!!! A total savings of 166.83 + tax on that! :dance3: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

OK, so I haven't bought anything for anyone else yet. But now I have more money to do so! :cool1:

Off for more shopping tomorrow. :goodvibes

I got everything basically I wanted.. we went to Walmart and got 2 of the 20" flat screen tvs, one for DD15 and one for DS13.. got the portable dvd player and bought the case for it for DF's mom.. Got the doodle bear for DD8 and the activity walker for DGD.. We got the scanner/printer for us :goodvibes

Then onto Sears and got a weight bench for DSS.. Then onto to Bath and Bodyworks- got DSD some sprays and lotions.. I got the free perfume for me and even picked up the mp3 player for me too!! Then went to Spencers and got DD8 one of those helmets that you put the drinks on each side of the hat and it has a straw (she was wanting one of those).. then onto Kay Jewelers and got DD15 a pretty ring.. DF got me a tanzanite/Pink Sapphire ring and a Tanzanite necklace and bracelet ( I love him so much!! ).. Then went to Sports Authority and got DS13 a basketball.. Then went to Toysrus to get DGD one last toy.. (finally all done with shopping of

Then home! whew!!! I went online and placed order at Sports Authority for DS13 Peyton Manning Football Jersey and then placed order at officemax for memory cards..

DD8 wanted an electric scooter so I went on the Sears website yesterday morning and got that with free shipping.. I could have gotten it for $20 less but I didnt think Id be home in time today to place my order..

Only thing I didnt get was the 52" tv at Walmart.. I wanted to get it for my dad but they only had 8 and I was #9.. so didnt get that one..

Not too bad..

I'm sure the HP movies were a coupe for lots of people(I grabbed the 3 I needed since I already had Chamber of Secerts along with Rent,Batman Begins and The Notebook)

I shopped walmart online and got one of the portable dvd players for 49 and one of the one's for 69. Bed Bath and Beyond, picked up some candles holders, room store, new dining table, kirklands candle wall sconces that ended up on clearance, disney store, t-shirts for my daughter. Free lunch at Humperdink's (sent me a coupon telling me to buy 1 get one free after shoppin, I couldn't resist!!!) and some flooring from home depot. This was stuff not even on my christmas list!!! :goodvibes

DH and I started out at 2:45. We hit 4 stores, Circuit City, then Walmart, Best Buy and then Boscov's. We were done by 7:30 and had everything we wanted. My mom had my kids overnight so that made thing simple!

We waited in the Circuit City line where there were about 100 people ahead of us. We weren't too concerned as we wanted a GBA and games. Got what we wanted, but they went really quickly! The store was busy but orderly. Very nice people in line, etc.

Walmart was another story. We got there at 5:20 and it was a mob scene. You could not move in toys or electronics. Picked up a V.smile for $30 and and Easy Bake Oven for $10. Got some sheets and left as everything else we wanted was sold out. It was so overwhelming that we cholde not to get a few small items while there. People were rude, pushy, etc. We were in line longer than we shopped.

BestBuy was nuts. (When we drove by around 8PM there was easily 60-70 folks there in tents). The general checkout line snaked up and down every aisle to the back of the store. Got Seinfeld Season 6 for brother for $14.99 (reg 41.99) and my dad needed a new microwave so I picked one up for him for $39.99.

Went to Boscov's for a stereo for my son and we were done.

This was my first time shoppong on Black Friday and it was great fun!! I will definitley do it again. Granted, we did not really go for the "hot" items but it was a good experience. We saved a pretty good amount of money!! :cool1:

Well, this was my first BF, so I feel I did ok.
Woke up at 7, fell back asleep untill 7:45, was out the door and on my way to Target by 8:30 with my DD.
Got my DVD's: Simpson's season 8 for $16, Memoirs of A Geisha for $4 (both presents for me) and a DVD surprise for my hubby for $4. Let my daughter look at LPS for a bit, then went to Boarders. Used my coupon for a free cup of coffee and got a .99 cookie for my daughter, then bought us each a book with leftover GC money for my birthday.

I was happy, I got what I wanted at Target, no line at all to ckeck out, and it was not overly crowded there. I'm kinda ticked after reading this thread, I didn't know they had Polar Express for $5, or GA season 1 for $8, I would have loved those. I'll check the adds better next year, I had fun! Nice time with my daughter, and got a couple great deals I wanted! :cool1:

My deals:

Got to Kohls at 5:10 (opened at 5)...7 cup Cuisinart food processor...$98, and a Cusinart coffee grinder, $24, since mine burnt out last week. Used my 15% coupon, came out to $112, and got $20 in Kohl's bucks to spend in the next few days. Waited in line about 15 min to check out, not too bad, since by the time I had been waiting a few minutes, the line behind me was all the way to the back of the store.

Arrived at Target just at 6am. The lines were just going into the store. Everyone seemed to be heading for the electronics section, including me. Managed to get one of the Kodak 6.1 mg cameras for $98 (for me). The Jensen Ipod clock radio for $28, and a home theatre system for $49. Went around the back of the store to see if anything else caught my eye, but headed to the registers.......no line. I was in and out in 20 min.......and to work by 6:40.
Went to the cafeteria and had breakfast and read the paper, since no way was I going to punch in amost an hour early! A very relaxing BF for sure.

Thanks Tenia for all your work posting the ads, etc. Without the 'heads up" on some things, it would have not been so easy

Be wary of ordering from them. I've read a lot of threads on another board about people not receiving their stuff in a timely manner.

I've purchased numerous things from buy.com in the past year or so and I've never had a problem receiving my items, I usually request free ground shipping when it's available and it always arrives within 4-5 days after shipment. I placed 3 orders with buy.com the night before Thanksgiving using the $20 off $50 order with Google checkout and 2 of the 3 orders have already shipped.

As I sit here I am almost too tired to reply. Thanksgiving day itself was exhausting... 3 families to go visit and they all live over an hour away from the others, so there was lots of driving too. My mom agreed to keep my kids over night so I go shopping with the crazys.

I was at MicroCenter at 3 am for my 32" LCD HDTV for $369. Actually, I should say my boyfriends. How on earth he managed to talk me into getting up that early and standing in line for his TV is beyond me. When I got there I found about 125 people already lined up. By the time they started handing out vouchers there must have been about 800 people in line. I kid you not. Our MicroCenter is at the atart of a long strip mall, in the end the line was downto the end. My wait was not in vain though. I did manage to get one of the last vouchers for the 32" handed out (they had 2 other sizes too). I then drove to get the voucher to my boyfriend so that he could go pay for it. It was about 5:30 by then.

My next stop was Walmart for the Easy Bake Oven ($10), the Cars Slumber set($15), Dora ABC game (price matched at $3.99), and 24 season 1 (price matched at $16). I was out of there by 6:30 and on to the mall where I basically killed an hour and got nothing. On To Best Buy where I picked up Crash (4.99). Over to Circuit City I go (did not find anything here). I run back home and get there by 9:30 because I realized I forgot an ad that I was going to have Walmart price match. Go back to Walmart pick up High School musical DVD game (price matched 9.99). Head to Old Navy, find 2 camis for $10, these are for me, I've been wanting some to put under sweaters for quite a while. I get a beige and pink one they should match anything. They also give me free gift labels, yay!, one less thing to buy. Over to Kohls I go. They win the award for the worst line of the day, it goes all the way around the store! I get my daughter Big sister Dora (she has been wanting this one forever), a pair of deep turquoise cords, and some Doar hair accessories for her stocking. Grand total 21.54. By this time it's about 12:30and I feel like I'm going to fall over from lack of sleep, so I go to pick my kids up. I took a short nap and visited more with family.

I left my moms at about 3:00 stopped by CVS and Gordmans (both dissapointing). Went over to Target got some Hello Kitty stocking stuffers from the dollar spot, Hello Kitty electric toothbush and toothpaste gift set (4.99), Uno, Go Fishing game (3.99), Jr. Monopoly (7.00), and a pack of 2 blanket sleepers (6.99). I finish the day at Bed Bath and Beyond. I got a pizza stone 4 peice gift set, a euroseal, a little hourglass timer, and a set of 3 silicone basting brushes for 21.00! I finally got home at 7pm and I crashed hard...

Who's still shopping the sales this beautiful Sat. morning?

I browsed the flyers again when I got home from work yesterday and found more items I wanted to try to get. Most stores were open at 8am, I left the house about then.

I went to Office Max first, got both items I wanted. Next was Boscov's. They priced matched an item that was advertised $40 cheaper at Circuit City. Office Depot was sold out in-store and online of both items I wanted. Finally a return to Target. I only had time to get a handful of DVD's Friday morning. I had to returned one because we already had it. I did get two others and the last $35 Emerson microwave oven. I also got a a few other gifts that weren't on sale.

I have one more stop today, Ink Stop. I just called and they still have the last thing on my list...for this weekend anyway.

I got my video rocker chairs at Target with raincheck, today. I called and asked customer service and they said they didn't get any in, but then I happened to go to the store and found it on the shelf. I don't know whether or not you got yours yet, but it may be worth going to store even if customer service says they didn't get any in.
