If you are trying to keep costs down, don't spend $2.50 or so on a bottle of water, you can get a free cup of ice water at most establishments in Disney that serve fountain soda.

Have a great time!

Bring Tylenol into the park with you, even if it's just a couple in your pocket. It's $3 to buy 2 or 4 pills in the parks (those little packets). You never know when you'll need some, and it's easier to have it with you than to buy it at a gift shop.

I second the sunscreen, even in March.

If you chew gum bring it with you. They don't sell it on Disney property.

If you forget your own, before buying try the care center at the front of the park, I was able to get some for free on a few trips.

Sunscreen!!! And an umbrella if you don't want to get wet because I can guarantee that it will rain at least once (even if it's only for 10 minutes) hehe.

Also, camera of course. :P I had my camera out for 90% of my last trip.

I think those draw-string backpacks are the best for Disney because they close securely (important when going on all those rides) and they can hold a lot of stuff. I had all kinds of stuff on my trip (wallet, bottle of water, random souvenirs, sunscreen, camera, phone, etc) and it's just really easy to carry around.

Have fun have fun. n__n

Poncho. Florida weather is unpredictable.

If you are really in need - you can also go to the First Aid Station and they will give you some for free (or at least they used to). Several years ago I developed a terrible headache. We were dining at Crystal Palace and I told my hubby that I was going to have to go back to the room to get something for it. Well, one of CMs overhead me say this and suggested that I go next door to the First Aid Station and get something for the headache. They were very kind and gave me some Tylenol and asked if I needed to lie down and rest or anything and then gave me a packet with a couple more for later if I needed them.

Don't feel like you have to see and do everything. You can easily get stressed out if you try to ride everything and see everything. Your best bet is to sit down and decide what rides and parks are must do's for you. Also, remember to take advantage of what disney has to offer besides the parks. There's mini golfing, water recreation, downtown disney, and many other things.

Check out allears.net . There's a ton there that will help you figure our what you want to do and see

Learn how to use the FastPass system and use it as much as possible to get the most out of your time.

Try to be at parks at rope drop!!! You can really get a lot done first thing in the morning!!

And my other big tip i tell everyone is a surge protector or something like that.. So you can plug in everything you have.. Like phones, cameras, video cameras, laptop..

Zip Lock Bags! I keep my blackberry and my camera in one. That way they stay dry even in downpours and Splash Mountain. :lmao:

And the gum. I'm a pack a day chewer, I always make sure I have it before I even leave for Disney.

We're heading back to the WDW this summer for a dance competition. Good luck with your dancing! You've already got some great tips.

1) Dollar store glow in the dark necklaces or bracelets for the evening.
2) Pressed Pennies. It's the cheapest souvenir you can buy.
3) More than one pair of comfortable shoes. There is tons of walking. Seriously!
4) Bandages and blister packs just in case.
5) Keep surfing on the disboards for more information.

My thoughts.....

--Rope Drop!!
--Free ice water at CS restaurants
--Early morning ADR before park opens
--Fast pass (and rider swap if you have a young child)
--Make sure to get a map and times guide at the entrance to each park
--Slow down and enjoy the little things!

Ditto all of the above

Plus to help get excited -
1) Order the free CD on WDW from the WDW website
https://www.disneyvacations.com/dv/...ferrer=wdw&hdrType=default&vcntype=wdw&bhcp=1

2) Buy any WDW guide book that fits your family and you - some have lots of info, some have lots of pictures

3) You can also free order maps of the parks from the WDW website - not official guide maps, but still nice and cute
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/w...CMRMaps0009&id=CustomizedMapsFlashPage&bhcp=1

4) Treat yourself to a new outfit &/or bathing suit before you go to wear at WDW

5) Do not over pack - you will be spending your time in shorts and t-shirts, but do bring a sweatshirt or light jacket for cool early AM's and late PM's.
(we once packed 3 pairs of jeans for each of us, 12 pairs, and never wore them :rotfl: wasted space in our suitcase - live and learn)

ENJOY !

A six pack of abs! Will help protect your back when you have to carry your 5 year old around the park because he became to tired to walk! Ugh :lmao:

The last time we went to Disney World, we had two 24-count cases of bottled water delivered to the hotels' front desk. Instead of shelling out $2 or $3 per bottle in the parks, we paid a total of $12 for both cases. You can order them from the chain stores.
