What is everyone doing for the 4th of July? I'm curious because I can't decide. We planned on having dinner at the Kona Cafe and watching from the Poly beach but it sounds like it will be very crowded. Now, we're thinking of Epcot. I guess I better make up my mind quickly!

We are arriving the afternoon on the 4th. i didn't want to use a day off our pop hoppers so we're eating at Narcoossee's then watching the fireworks from the pier.

PS-My countdown counter is wrong because we decided a while back to add a couple of days to the beggining of our trip!::yes::

We'll be at MGM on the 4th. We have PSs at '50s Prime Time for lunch and Brown Derby for dinner. Then we're going to find a good spot to watch Sorcery in the Sky.

 WE're doing the MGM and Sorcery too! Decided to do an early morning of MK but then head to MGM for late night where it might be a little less crowded LOL - If I can keep my group motivated (9) I would like to "run" to Epcot to try and catch their show

WE are arriving back at Port Canaveral on Carnival that morning. We want to go to MK for the day. BuUT by the time we get off the ship and drive to the hotel, check in, get our UPH I am afraind the park will be a capacity. Unless it rains.
Our back up plan is to see Socery in the Sky at MGM amd walk right over to Epcot to see Illumination.

If I get to come (work issues may prevent this trip), I plan to spend the day by the pool and head to MGM in the early evening. After Socery I will hoof it over to Epcot for their fireworks.

We start the day with Breakfast at Cape May's. Then a relaxing day at SAB. Dinner at Ohana's at fireworks from the Poly.
Can't wait.:bounce:

Well...let me know what you think...

To avoid huge crowds we will be going to Universal that day and then coming back to Fort Wilderness, hoping to see the fireworks from there. Will that be possible and is there still a water parade?

Is it possible to get from MGM to Epcot for Illuminations? I know the show are an hour apart. Do you walk?

Yes, I walk from MGM to Epcot. There is a path that runs along the back of the Boardwalk hotel.

I did it in about 30 minutes last year, but I was alone which helped to increase my speed.

We'll be walking that path from MGM to EPCOT with you!! Let's pray for dry weather!!:wave2:

We plan on going to Animal Kingdom in the morning, going back to OKW to relax for a while and then going to EPCOT for dinner at Akershus and watching the fireworks there. Never thought of seeing Sorcery in the Sky first. Interesting idea....

.... Discovery Cove! We are wicked psyched about going!!! Then
dinner offsite on the way back to the Dolphin. We have no idea where we will be watching the fireworks, probably Epcot

No parks on the 4th for us. We're planning lunch at ESPN to watch some baseball and other than that hanging out at the Grotto pool, we're staying at the Dolphin, and watching what we can of fireworks from both Epcot and MGM from the Boardwalk area. :D

Epcot, to listen to the Voices of Liberty and American Vybe ALL day and then a Wishes fireworks cruise with some friends that night.

We can't wait!

Linda

We will start out at DAK and leave there after eating lunch at Tusker House.

Rest in the room and then dinner at Ohana before heading to MGM for Sorcery in the Sky since we have never seen it.

Then, we will join the pilgrimage to Epcot!! :thewave:
