Got POR royal room garden view for $1,000 for 5 nights, including President's weekend. Pretty good deal!

We are passholders, so we do not need tickets.

I did!! I cancelled the CSR. I couldn't get a discount on that, and I can't justify the extra $600 to stay there.

Saved about $400 (15%) over pricing them all separately with no discount. Not quite a "free dining" level of savings, but for a trip we were planning on going on anyway, I'll take it!

If I had done Room Only Discount + Tickets w/Hopper It would have been $2159. I had priced out or meals based on existing ADRs and out of pocket would have come to approximately $920. So either I pay out of pocket and my total comes to about $3079 or adding the dining plan to the Room Only discount would come to $3008. So all in all I feel I got the best deal with the SPD and am very excited to be returning to Disney World after a 5 year absence.

This is very much like what we did. I don't know the details....the other half did the phone calling but said we saved about $700 with room only discount at WL for two adults for a week. We've done s/p/d before and wanted to try to avoid the dining plan and just pay oop. We tend to share lunch and breakfast so figured we might save that way.

For some reason I had to book through Run Disney???? Tried WTC twice and both CM would not book the room for me. I was paying with four gift cards so I had to call in.

Gotta love travel agents who will stay on the phone all morning for you! We already had a package booked, but didn't have dining because it's cheaper for us to pay out of pocket when dining is the regular rate. Here's how we ended up:

5. 8 day park hoppers
6. $2165.30

Price before we added dining was $1655.42 so the dining plan was about $500. This is $200-300 less than I anticipated spending on food + convenience of it all being prepaid so I'm tickled!
