Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I leave in 28 days and usually carry a backpack as well as a small purse over the shoulder. My question is.....DO I NEED TO CARRY BOTH A BACKPACK AND PURSE THIS TIME?????? Im thinking about ordering a sling or messenger bag and not carrying a purse this time> THOUGHTS???

I have the baggalinni as posted above, only mine is sort of 'army' green- But I use that for heavy travel days, like flying, etc. Then I switch to my overland Donner little mini purse, which has like a million little pockets and slots, and a long strap I cross over my shoulder- since I don't carry much, that's plenty. My OD purse is so cute,it's all tinkerbell green and pink,it holds cell, camera, wallet and sunglasses.

OK...I'm literally cross-eyed from reading all the posts and checking out a million or two bags on ebags!!

Ordered the Ameribag Healthy Back Bag for my Mom...ordered the Baggallini Get Out of Town bag and the Messenger bag because I couldn't make up my mind.

Has anyone used the Baggallini Get Out Of Town Bag???? Any feedback?

Keeping my fingers crossed that one of them works!

:yay:

Okay, I fully admit that I am a bag freak. Our past three trips I have used the Columbia Touring Bag and love it, but all three of those trips we also still had a stroller to carry things in (like the water bottles), but DD is now too old for a stroller. I bought an Ashley Cooper quilted backpack for our next trip, but I am also looking for a messenger style bag to take as well. Since I have until August, I have plenty of time to buy more more bags to pack and take.

I don't carry both. I would pack a wristlet wallet or some sort of smaller purse that may fit into your backpack for anything that you normally would put into your purse so that it can fit into your backpack. I can't imagine you would want to keep track of two bags. I use one bag for everything. I love my bag from eBags because it holds everything. Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

I found it difficult to get stuff out of it while wearing, it won't hold anything but one small water bottle, and if it becomes heavy, the strap hurts my shoulder. The strap pocket doesn't fit my smartphone very well. Its uncomfortable in warm weather because it makes my back sweaty. Plus its overpriced.

If you're planning on carrying anything with weight, do yourself a favor and get a backpack. Your back and shoulders will thank you.

For our 10 day WDW trip last June, we used the High Sierra hydration packs from Costco. They were $20 each and allowed us to carry plenty of water, ponchos, and other stuff comfortably. Since they are slim, they aren't as bulky as traditional backpacks, and because they have hydration tubes, it was very easy to stay hydrated. Even though it sat on our backs, it is designed to allow airflow to help keep you cooler.

I added a Baggallini flip phone pouch and attached it to one of shoulder straps. It could also be worn on a belt. This gave me easy access to my cell phone, ID, key to the World card, and theme park tickets without having to take off my pack. I found it at Marshalls for $5.

No way would I carry a single strap bag/pack for hours in a theme park, especially if I was carrying anything heavy. In June, I brought my Donner bag, and it stayed in the hotel room the entire time.

But I did bring my Donner bag to Disneyland this past Thanksgiving. But I didn't carry hardly anything in it except a water bottle and small P&S camera, and we were staying at VGC, so it was easy to go back to our room.

Any thoughts on the size of the Baggalini messenger for those of us who pack a little lighter?

I pack enough that I need larger than just a flat hip bag, but not enough to require a big bag at all

Anyone seen the Baggallini Urban Backpack in Expresso or Mushroom or know if the colors on the website are how they look in real life?
Thanks!

I use the exact same Overland Donner Equipment Placer bag. Mine is also Tink green with a pink floral lining. My only problem with it, is that after several trips the velcro flap comes loose to easy and the flap is always falling down. I just won three Vera Bradley mini hipsters on ebay and am hoping that I like them half as much as the little Overland Donner Equipment Placer. I have the bagallini, but used it only once down there. I really don't like it. It rubs on my neck too much for some reason.

4 differrent bags - Derek Alexander North/South - Heys Travelmate - Ameribags Healthy something or other - Baggalini Messenger type and......

I don't think I like ANY OF THEM!!!!

DA - too boxy & I don't like where the CC slots are
Heys - also too boxy but still in the running
Ameribags - perfect but too small
Baggalini - better but still looks small inside

DD & I are gonna round up all our park stuff and test them all but I'm afraid they're all going back :sad2::sad2:

Do they all have to have that "school backback" strap?!?!?

On vacation in two weeks and I think I'll spend most of it on Ebags!!!!

Heys is a terrible choicr for any use. I bought one thinking it is this great useful purse. Not only did it destroy the fabric on my tee shirts (it rubbed against it so bad and it didn't move very much at all) but the front pouch ripped and I almost lost some important items because of the fabric ripping along the seam. I have a wallet that was perfect for this size of purse and a couple of other items, but nothing near capacity. I didn't dare think about using the water bottle holder feature.

What size Ameribag Health Back Bag did you buy? It comes in several sizes, there might be one larger than what you got. I have 2 sizes, one I use as a purse, and a larger one that works as a carryon/beach bag (it's actually mesh). I adore them. SO much less stress on my back to carry them!

We are taking 2 bags. 1 medium sized Chester backpack and a Vera Bradley Hipster. The Chester was my sons diaper bag but it doesnt scream diaper bag at all. Its a great size and can hold lots of stuff without being too bulky. I figure dh will carry it and I will carry the Hipster. We can leave non valuables in the backpack and leave it in the stroller when we go on rides or even use the lockers and keep the most needed items with me in the Hipster. How much do the lockers cost to rent anyway??

I just bought my Hipster and I am excited about how lightweight it is and how comfortable it will be to carry cross body. I figure if it rains I can either put it down in the backpack or tighten it up so its well covered by my poncho.

for a larger one. I am sending all the rest back as none were really what I wanted. DD keeps saying to just use my old "teardrop" sling bag ($14 at Target) that we've been using for years but "leave all the crap in the room!!!" By crap she means the camera. Maybe if I could find a really thin CC holder for our KTTW cards, IDs, etc., the old bag would be ok.
