I bit the bullet and purchased the baggalini in expresso. I will let everyone know how I like it once it gets here!

Well the UPS man just delivered my Derek Alexander. Talk about fast, I just ordered it from ebags Sunday. Anyway, it has a little zipper compartment in the top of the bag that is shallow. It'd be perfect for your tickets, or a small camera. It has a big zip compartment behind that is one big compartment with one slip in pocket. There is a zipper in the very back that would be very secure and there is a flap on the front that has a zipper compartment on the front that un-snaps to another compartment. This flap does not have to be opened to get to everything else. There is a compartment on the side but it is more for a cell phone. I don't think it is going to be big enough for a water bottle which is what I really wanted. The strap adjusts to a number of lengths and it seems comfortable. I'm going to carry it a couple of days and will report back.
So I ordered from QVC for even less money: $19.95. It came today and I love it. I will tell you the navy blue one which says navy but looks royal blue is in fact navy. It has pockets everywhere, the strap shortens so you can make it a regular shoulder bag and it has zippers that unzip making the bag bigger if you want. I has a spot for a water bottle which I like, but if you don't have one you just zip it up and it's out of site. It has a zipper on the back that would be up against your body that seems like a good spot for money. The little pocket on the front top is for a cell phone. I have a Blackberry and it won't fit so I'll use it for sunglasses. There is a water proof pocket that I think will be great to carry paper towels and a little frozen blue ice when we go in August. I really like it.
I just ordered this bag as well, I have been researching many bags on Ebags & decided this would be best for me. I had to return the AmeriBag Metro New Yorker, the strap was WAY TOO LONG & would not shorten any longer. You would need to be taller than 5'3" for that bag to work. I hope I like this one!!
I ordered the Derek Alexander Leather - North/South Top Zip Shoulder Bag
(Black). Thanks for posting, I will let you know what I think when mine arrives as well.![]()

I would be concerned using this as a daily park bag due to the "
Hidden magnets under lid for unique closure" as the product description states. I am a single mom, so I am responsible for carrying everything, so my park tickets/hotel cards are in my main bag. I have heard that the magnets play havoc on your park tickets/hotel cards & sometimes make them lose their information. Just a thought........![]()

OH SHOOT!!!!
Just curious, but what do you use pipe cleaners for in the parks, if I may ask?Re. "magnet closure" bags:
I have had a hotel room key lose its info due to a magnet in my baggellini mini bag, but only if I put it in the pocket with the magnet. If I zip it inside, it hasn't been a problem.
In terms of securuity, we only plan to use the Sherpani bag for ponchos, pipe cleaners, and other non-valuables, and I plan to leave it in the basket under the stroller. Anything valuable will be in my Baggallini minibag or my husband's waistpouch.
If I were trying to carry everything in one bag, then the Sherpani probably wouldn't be a good choice for the parks due to both its massive magnetization and relative lack of security.
I wanted a bag big enough to carry my Birnbaum's Guide for Kids, which has autograph pages in the pack AND good park maps/info all in a reasonably small size. But maybe that's a silly reason to carry a whole bag, and I should find something smaller for autographs!
