Is there a Post Office at the Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds or any where within Disney World?

When we were in Disney 15 years ago, we boxed up our "Dirty Laundry" and sent it back home by U.S. mail to: (one) make packing for home easier, (two) make room for souviners, (three) the bags where lighter for us to carry for the return flight. We had a rental car and so we found a Post office in Orlando. We didn't do it the last few times we were in Disney, but we are thinking we would like to ship some of our "dirty laundry" back since we are going for 11 days this time. We don't have a rental car this time.

Now to find a box to ship the "dirty laundry" back!

My answer to this would be to take fewer clothes and do a load or two of laundry while you are there.........all the disney resorts and most other hotels do have laundry facilities. I just always pack a zip loc with a little laundry soap and some extra quarters. I do this when I go skiing, since winter clothes are so bulky it is hard to carry alot of them. Also this way you are not overly packed on the trip down either. I also always throw a small duffle in my suitcase in case I pick up to many trinkets. That way you do not come home to a stinky box of dirty laundry either! You can throw a load in and then wait by the pool while it is being done.........just my opinion of course.

The Lake Buena Vista post office is fairly near to WDW. Drive past the "Official" non-Disney hotels that are near Downtown Disney, as if you are going to the Crossroads shopping center. But instead of going straight across the street into the shopping center, turn left at the signal. Then get into the right lane and about a mile and a half up the road there will be a shopping center with an Eckerd's Drugs and a Steak & Shake. The post office is in that shopping center, tucked on the side behind Eckerd's. (Note that Eckerd's has been purchased by CVS pharmacies, and their name may be changed before your trip).

I am not sure how much it is, but I'm sure it's not cheap but I have heard some people post that there is a laundry service, where they will pick up your dirty clothes, wash, dry, fold and bring them back, although I am not sure how to get more info, I guess ask the guest services at your hotel.

We do the "pack fewer clothes and wash a load or two during our stay". We also take about a half a suitcase of munchies. Stuff like boxed crackers, pretzels, pringles, a bottle or two of our favorite wine. If you cushion the breakable items with your clothing throughout the various suitcases everything will arrive intact. This saves us money by not paying WDW prices for normal junk food while we are in the room. By the end of our vacation we have consumed our food and created room in our luggage for souviners.
