post-grad CP

I applied for the college program when I was in my undergraduate and was accepted. I ended up declining the position due to things that were going on in my life personally, but also because the position that I was oftered was for a lifeguard, and my school would not give me the college credit needed for an internship. After taking some time off to work after graduation, I am returning to school for my Masters. Does anyone know if you can still participate in the program if you are a graduate student? I really need a serious internship opportunity relating to my Public Relations degree, so I don't want to just work in quick service or something like that. I know that there are professional internships, but how hard are these to get really because it looks difficult and most of them want you to be a former college program cast member anyways. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm not local to Flordia and would move down there for the time necessary.

Yes, you can participate in the college program regardless of age, as long as you are in school. So you would be eligible.

Secondly, the PIs are competitive. If you skim through the thread on these boards, you will find that they are hard to get and very stressful! There are PIs available if you have never done a CP and are given to those who have never done one, especially in the communications field. Check out the website! www.disneyinterns.com. They close on Friday, so save the job descriptions before they are taken down.

I'm in the same boat, I will be graduating in May (MS in Hospitality and Tourism Management, BS in Business Management) and am coming for the FA 2010 CP working Vacation Planning. I hope to transition into a PI after the CP is over. I'm treating it as a last hurrah and a resume builder before entering the work force
