Post Fireworks/Shows Bus Transportation

Realistically how long a wait would I be looking at with my 3.5 yr old DS for the following:

Bus from MGM to OKW post Fantasmic!
Bus from Epcot to OKW post Illuminations
Bus from MK to OKW post Fantasy in the Sky

Also does anyone know how long the buses run after the shows/park closes?

Trying to get a feeling for how much time I am looking at from when the show ends to getting a bus and being on my way with my (sack of potatoes by then) DS

Thanks
Jason

Typically, OKW is NOT a heavy travelled route. The MK bus might be slightly busy, but nothing even close to overwhelming. Epcot and Studios will probably be only half full at best. Usually when I work closing shifts, we're told to go to the OKW load zone, and wait for 10 minutes. Once we leave, the next bus goes in, and waits 10 minutes from the first guest.

Buses run until the entire park has been called clear by security.

Our experience from MK to OKW from this past Saturday night, 4/5, with FITS at 8:00. We got to the bus stop at 9:00pm. We were the only ones at the stop...buses consistently went to hotels with more people in the queue. A bus pulled up at 9:20pm just as a few more folks came to the OKW line. We pulled away at 9:30. That was the longest we ever waited for a bus the entire time we were there. Guess we just caught it wrong!;)

Magic Kingdom does work a bit differently than the other hubs, in that they don't have the ability to send a bus directly there as soon as the other pulls away. Because of the high volume at the All-Stars in particular, they need to concentrate over there.

So when leaving the parks there is no danger of not being able to get a bus back to my resort?

You won't get left behind. We run until the last person is gone. This means that if there is one family, just taking thier time, 3 hours after close, we all have to just sit there, waiting for them...

(Please don't be the last family... we want to go home!! LOL)

We got back from WDW on April 1 and actually have a comparison trip for you. We went to SpectroMagic parade at MK and then wanted to go to the food court at PO-Riverside for a late supper. My DH got on the OKW bus to go back to or room, pcik up the van keys and drive the van to PO (so we would have an easy way back "home" from PO after we ate). The rest of us got on the PO bus and my DH told us to save a table since he figured we'd be there way before he was. The first PO bus was totally full, so we had to wait for the second. By the time we got to PO, DH was already there waiting for us.

We must have hit things just right leaving the other parks, because our longest wait was only 15 minutes and oftne less. There was also only one time when people were standing on the bus - and that was one of the new buses that have less seats.

We had a very long wait for OKW after the fireworks from MK last summer. The crowd was huge to get back to OKW and it seemed longer than 10 minutes between buses. Must have been an off night since when we finally got a bus, it broke down (the door would not shut or something, therefore the bus would not go) out by Turtle Pond (we were at HH). It was a late night that night. Otherwise, it has not usually been too terrible of a wait.

Tyler, how do we know it's your bus? I look forward to personally saying hi to you on our next trip if possible. You are definately an asset to these boards for information!
