Curious if the crowds have gotten better since Easter is now a distant memory.
We don't arrive till April 24th (the 25th will be our first day in the parks) & planned it this way with hope that WDW will be more enjoyable.
Anybody who was there yesterday (Tuesday 4/13 or there now) please chime in.::yes::

Just got back last night. The crowds were pretty big but manageable. Sunday night it poured and they cancelled the parade at MK. There were alot of disappointed people.

It poured again until about 9:30 on Monday morning so the crowds at AK weren't too bad although it did fill up in the afternoon.

It rained again overnnight monday so tuesday am was slow again but the crowds did pick up in the early afternoon at EPCOT. This was when we had to get our flight

Overall the CMs were saying that the crowds were already getting lighter compared to the week before.

I guess they cancelled Sunday's fireworks as well....we had a window seat at Ohana's and waited until about 10 pm...no fireworks. Oh well :)

I got back on Monday night from a 5 night stay in the World. The crowds this year seem to be down compared to previous years. We have been down to WDW the past 7 or 8 Easters and the crowds were Huge. This year they seem to be down. There are still tons of people just not as many as in previous years. Any questions you can pm me.

Rain?

I thought April was the dry month in Florida???? lol

Hopefully that was it for awhile....we'll be arriving at WDW monday the 19th and staying in Florida through the 30th.

It's been raining for days here in NY and I can't wait to reach the Sunshine state!!

I'm hoping the crowds will continue to decrease this week into next.

Yep Rain and lots of it. They billed it as a freak April strorm. According to the weather man we got more rain sunday and monday than they usually do the entire month of April.

We left the park before the fireworks on Sunday nuight but I could see them from our balcony at Pop Century when we got back to the hotel.

Just got back about 5 hours ago. We have never gone at easter before and it was really crowded. Most fastpasses were gone for the big rides before noon. At the MK she told us they ran out of wheelchairs one night. Standing room only on lots of busses during alot of times. We were there April 6-14. we stayed at the swan and they called to remind us to definetely check out by 11 am. We also could not even check in early, something we got to do in aug. The restraunts were pretty crowded but we did see they took walk ups but that was either very early or very late. I think by the time you go most spring breaks will be over. It was cool at night and we got bit by some bugs so definetely bring some anti itch stuff etc.

yep - very busy... We have been here since Sunday and I think today was the busiest day, probably because it didn't rain.

Today we hit 3 parks.. AK, MK and Epcot.

I have never in all my trips seen AK so busy! The wait for Safari was almost 2 hours. Coudn't believe it -- we ended up just seeing FLK and Tarzan Rocks and leaving.

We headed to MK after getting some lunch -- and found them equally crowded. The CM at the ride board said that the park hours had been extended till midnight because of the crowds. We found it difficult to get around. The wait for HM was 90 minutes. Splash was evacuated and temporarily closed for a few hours. In the end we didn't get much done.

We hopped over to Epcot for Illuminations -- it wasn't to bad, but aside from walking right onto Spaceship Earth, we didn't try to get on any rides.

99.9% of the time, I am not a morning person... however, this trip I have been very good about getting up early and getting out by 8-8:30 and I have to say, it really does help. We get ALOT done in those first few hours!

In answer to the OP -- I think by the time you get here, the crowds will diminish alot.

Yup, still veerrry busy here. Safari FP's were distributed for the day sometime in the early afternoon. However, AK's extended hours (8am-7pm) are returning to 5pm closing on Saturday. By the time you arrive crowds should be much more manageable ::yes::

DB & SIL leave this morning for my nephew's MAW trip. I hope the weather clears up and the crowds thin out. None of them have ever been to WDW and this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for little Luke.

It's been busy at MK this week --- and because of the crowds the MK hours were extended til Midnite the past two days.

If you check out the WDW site for the park hours they all go down after this weekend. Disney must know from the past that the crowds thin out a bit after the two weeks around Easter. We will be down there this saturday for the week, as I'm sure lots of other folks from Massachusetts will be since this is our April vacation.

Have fun! :)

The rain was welcomed here in Central Florida. We are behind on the rain so the two days of a good soaking rain were needed.

I know visitors don't like the rain but those of us who live here were glad.

There is a threat of brush fires because of the dry conditions.
