There are many posts that appear wider than others. Is there some way to adjust the display so I can retain my eyesight and sanity?

That's because the poster is including a picture or text that is wider than the board display area. If you have your screen maximized, it shouldn't happen too often. If you ever see anything really strange, post a link to the thread over here, and one of us will go take a look at it and see if we can correct it.

That's all I can recommend, unless JC or Chris have a secret trick for this as well.
