Post Covid - Be Our Guest Dinner Experience

1. How is the food/experience? Do you feel the value is worth the price?
2. Did you see any characters?

1. Okay, so the experience and atmosphere was great! Service from arrival at the bridge, to the seater, to the server was wonderful.
The food was okay. Don't get the soup. You get a huge plate with a little place in the center for some soup. The steak was okay but there's better steaks elsewhere on property. The dessert was my favorite part despite being able to eat the white chocolate Chip. I didn't feel the value was worth the price. Maybe I'd like it more if they were doing lunch at lunch and not the dinner menu (and dinner price) at lunch.

2. Yes! I saw Beast twice but in the West Wing, it's so dark that you can't get a good picture of him. I had to wait on my way out to catch him in one of the other rooms that had more lighting.

Also, being seated in the West Wing, I nearly had to use my phone flashlight to scan the QR code on my phone to see the menu.

1) I hate to say it but we had a negative experience. The value is not worth the price and we actually had a glass of wine and left. This was after making the reservation weeks and weeks ago.
2) the Beast walked the room while we were there.

I know it's a touchy subject and people get defensive of their favorite places, this is just my experience. We attended on Thursday 1/28 and my girlfriend was not happy with the (lack of) social distance in the place. It was a full sellout and people were all over the place.

Place looked great and all (I'd been there a few years ago, she never had). The rest of the week Disney did a tremendous job with distance; this was the only thing on our entire trip that we bailed on due to crowds. She tried to give it a chance and we got as far as a wine before dinner before she admitted she just was not comfortable. At $62+ per plate, the last thing you want is somebody who isn't enjoying the experience.

Some are more sensitive than others to social distance and we opted out.

There's a couple of hidden gems here and there. We had Yak & Yetti for the first time last month. For 3 adults, 2 kids. We all got a drink, shared an appetizer (it was big enough) and had enough food that we packed leftovers. It ran us roughly $75. I had to double check the bill and commented that "Wow, a quick service would have cost the same". The theming is ok, the menu didn't sound too appealing to me, but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the food. The value for being in park is tough to beat though.

Yak and Yeti is one of our favorites!!!!

We've eaten dinner, lunch, dinner and then the 'Prix' dinner. IMO the two meals cannot be compared. I would eat dinner there any time. After the one lunch we never went back. We also love the West Wing. The ballroom is loud and the voices echo off the ceiling. The Rose room is quiet also but the West Wing has more atmosphere.

The WDW food game used to be very fun and exciting to us. Now it just gets more disappointing each trip.

this is so true. 10-20 years ago, we would eat all the food in the parks or some resort. optimizing the meal plan, and finding unique and wonderful dining experiences.

but it’s not the same now. Our last trip we instead bought groceries for breakfast, dinner and snacks. And would just have a special lunch together.

and I think disney knows that amazon and Uber have take away a huge portion of its dining profit,

My group of 6 ate there on Monday and it was fabulous !!
Excellent atmosphere and quality food!

We ♥️ It !!

I don't think the character dinners are worth it anymore....

That might depend still on the group that you're going with. It's definitely a splurge, so I don't know it's an every day/night thing, but we did a character breakfast - Topolino's terrace, the characters were at a distance but my kids still loved it.

That's especially true since they can't meet them in the parks anymore - although there are still surprise sightings. Which I have to say, they get more excited at the surprise sightings than they ever did waiting in line for the meet and greets.

Ate there for dinner last Thursday (1/28) night and I was very, very hesitant about it....mostly for the cost as our last experience there had not been a great one. But my DD10 wanted to eat there so we gave it a shot, and she loved it. The food was ok, and I actually felt ok social distancing wise but I think that's because our table was up against the wall in the main room so traffic was minimal. It was our only inside dining we did the entire trip and it was worth it for her enjoyment, but I wouldn't say it's worth the cost by any means. Luckily our server took pity on me and gave her the kids meal rate even though she's 10 and an "adult" - which is ridiculous if they order off the kids menu, so glad sanity prevailed after a lighthearted "uggggh" when she gave me the original bad news.

We have a reservation end of Feb during our trip. My wife and I had breakfast last year before the Covid shut down the parks. The breakfast was excellent, I expect the food will be good for our dinner but we are going with the kids for the atmosphere more than anything else. We sat in west wing and hope to so again this time. As for price and value, For me I just acknowledge that it will be expensive, if I was truly looking for value we wouldn't be going to Disney.

I was there for dinner after it became prix fixe. We absolutely loved it and thought it was the best meal. It was so good, we wanted to go again. I made a reservation for later in the week. I ordered the same thing (because it was so good). None of use enjoyed our meal that time. It was OK. My conclusion is that the food is inconsistent.
