Would any body know wether, if i send postcards to the uk will they arrive while we are on holiday or 2 weeks after we get back. Had this happen before when we went to spain, am just wondering if sending them will be a waste of time.

The odds are the postcards will get there long after you've arrived home and had a chance to chat personally with your friends !
We mail postcards each trip to US addresses, and even these we beat home.
Just received a postcard from my BIL and wife who were holidaying in Mexico and got home over 2 weeks ago ! Save your money and put it toward a small gift that you can send/give them when you get home.
