Post cards with pin codes?

We have visited four times in the last five years and I get post cards from Disney but never have seen a pin code on them. It's usualy a discount offer that is nothing more than the standard rates on the Disney website. Is this common? I hope that I am not missing a pin number somehwere on that darn card!

Lastly, we have another trip 01/08 six days. I have my room revserved (no package since rates aren't out yet). Are these pin codes usualy sent out at a certain time of the year or is it random?

I'd love to get a code post card before I have to comvert my room Rez to a package.

I haven't seen a pattern yet to when they were sent out.. Basically they are sent out when Disney sees a 'hole' in their bookings.. a period where bookings are below the target for that time of year. These are meant to bring the bookings up..

So far this year, there were some sent out in late Jan/Feb and very early March.. and then it has been pretty quiet up till now.

I have only gotten a postcard with code once. That was more than 10 years ago, and I already had a trip booked. Since then, I haven't gotten a card (with or without a code) since. I also haven't moved since then. Go figure.
