:sunny: I was so excited to open my mailbox today and find a card from Mickey. trouble is it is addressed to my son in law who has never lived here. i did book atrip last fall for us and my daughter's family but her hubby was called to active duty and they did not go with us. I had used our address for both ressies to make things easier as we were going to pay for them.......Now the problem....Is the card to the address or the person???? I really want to go but know that it would be just hubby and myself. Do I call and explain the truth or just call and try to book with the pin code using my name? HELP.........

Also......has anyone had luck getting a moderate with this card? Hubby has not been thrilled with values in the past.

Thanks guys........

I can't remember where, but someone posted that they had a postcard to their address to someone who never lived there before. CRO said it had to be in their name.

However, I'd call anyway. Can't hurt. I'd call twice to make sure I get the same answer too from two different CMs. Yesterday I got 3 "no" answers and then a "yes" asking the same question...different topic than this one.

I wonder because the two that have come to our house are in my DD's name and she can't book at age 11 so the reservation can't be in her name. I couldn't use the two that have come to her so I never asked.

The postcard is for the person named on it. You can use the code if your son in law is going with you. I got a postcard in my mom's name but at my adress which she has never lived at. I was able to use the postcard but only because my mom was in the room with me.

Yes you can get the moderates with the post card, the rate I got was $88 and that was for the end of April. Talk to one of the TA"s about the post card that might be able to help you. :Pinkbounc

Ok hate to add to the confusion but I really think it depends on the CM you get on the phone. My friend and I are both going first week of June. We both had already made reservations at POP century. My friend got the postcard last week to HER address but it had the name of her friend on it (who had gone on the last disney trip with her, but my friend had been the one who had made their reservations last time) Anyway, she was allowed to use the postcard to book 2 rooms for her and her immediate family at the $79.00 rate for CBR and then she asked if she could book a 3rd room at that rate and was put on hold. The CM came back and said "yes" you can book up to 3 rooms with one postcard. She booked another room for me and my family and put the deposit on her credit card. I have not yet received my mailed confirmation but will let you all know how it turns out.

I agree 100% that it depends on the CM on the phone. I can't tell you how many times I have heard different answers to the same question.

So true. You can call 3 times and get three different answers.

If you call they should be able to give youthe rates for all 3 ( value, mod, deluxe) using the code/PIN.
Call and explain and see what they say, can't hurt to ask.

Would it work to use your sons in laws name as one of the persons in your room to qualify for the discount? They don't check ID's of everyone in your room. I don't know if it would work or not.

I was able to use the postcard sent to my address in my grandfather-in-law's name, but I'm beginning to think I was VERY lucky to have such a great, understanding CM on the phone!

The only time I stayed with a postcard code was when I went with my sister and the postcard was in HER name, even though the only times she'd been before was when I'd made the ressies. They did check her ID at the resort when we checked in. I'd be very sure you could use the postcard before checking in - you might get an unpleasant surprise and end up paying rack rates if the person who's name is on the postcard is not with you when you checkin.

That was me. I was told I couldn't use it because it wasn't in my name or anyone that lived in my household that would be there. :(

Same thing just happened to me. I was so excited when I saw the postcard in my mailbox and immediately called. While I was on hold I realized that the card was in my nephews name at my address. When the CM came on the phone she said I could not use the code :sad2:. She did ask if we had the same last name before she said no definately. Should I call back again?
