Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

Both DH & I have 3 days between due date & closing date. Mine due the 4th closes on the 7th. His due the 17th closes the 20th.

Business card or personal card? They have different timeframes.

Hubby's personal card with a due date of 27 closes on the 2nd.

My business card with a due date of the 28 closes on the 6th.

Looks like either way you should be fine, although I would for sure want a statement cycle to go through so that I saw on the Chase website "Next statement closing January 2nd" before I put spend on there.
Perfect. It is a personal card and I am encouraged by your DP, but will also take your advice to check the Chase website after the first statement cycle.

Thank you. The 3 days difference you have with your cards is how it works for all my other cards, but I had read that a Chase card with a payment date of the 26th or later usually has a statement closing date of the 1st of the month or later. The experience of @TheOneWithTheTriplets seems to confirm this so I am hopeful my statement will close on the 1st or 2nd. Will provide DP once I know for sure.

I guess that’s why I’m wondering, how did it fit thru the scanner. It must have tho.
I've seen a 24 inch checked size bag go through the scanner, I'm pretty sure I've seen a 26 inch go through. Don't think I've ever seen a 28 inch or larger. It doesn't have to go through the scanner, it could be hand inspected if it's too large for the scanner.
You’re all ignoring my question. What do people do if they have full size luggage but they’re trying to get on stand by?
Wouldn’t they have to drag the luggage to the gate and then gate check if they make it onto the plane?
I don't think it's ignoring, just that no one here has an answer for you. The only time I flew standby I had a confirmed seat on a later flight and checked my bag for that flight. My checked bag made it on to the earlier flight with me.

We're always amazed at the luggage size that SW does and does not allow as carry on. There is no consistency. Just the same s there is no consistency to who and how many are allowed to board with assisted passengers. Ditto people with kids. Consistency is not the name of the game.

Application and closing dates...

In my email, I have the "congrats, you're approved" message dated Sept. 11. I know that I was approved immediately, so I'll assume that I applied Sept. 11th.

I just checked my chase account. It says the payment will be due on the 1st of the month. It also says I need to spend 4K by Feb 6th to qualify for the 100K bonus. I cannot, as of now, see my closing date as I don't yet have anything due. I'm going to do some minor purchasing on my new card and see what the statements say, but I'm hoping that if I do the bulk of my Christmas shopping after the 6th of December that this will post on my January 2026 bill and count towards a CP for 2026-2027. I will easily meet the "spend" for the bonus just doing the Christmas shopping, plus a CP boost of 10K in January would put me at 114K of the requirement for a CP pass. If we refrain from other credit card use, we could make the CP spend by June or July, which would be nice. I know SW is getting more and more difficult to use, and their prices are becoming less affordable but BOGO for airfare makes it all a different story!

Does anyone know... If I have both a personal and a business SW card, will I get a 10K CP pass for each of them, or just one bonus per RR account number?
