Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

The only changes starting 5/28 are baggage fees & is how they’ve handled other changes.

The expiring credit, the fact that WGA is being renamed Basic, and the Basic not being allowed to be changed, only cancelled, are all part of the 5/28 changes as well.

They can’t have customers who paid for seat selection & people who didn’t on the same flight.
Obviously, that would be insanity. I'm suggesting that the baggage, expiring credits, renamed fares, and seat selection could have all happened together based on flight date. 1/31 (or whenever) is all old style flights, 2/1 is all new. Then they wouldn't have this in between time where people on the same flight are having different baggage policies based on when they booked.

The holds the two chase SW CCs in his name with me as an authorized user (not obligor)

Wondering if I can book a res with one, just in my name (not the mr's) & get the bag/48 check in

Yes, I do realize I could sign up for one of their cards Have enough of my own, just not SWA branded
With other airlines you would not. And I would be absolutely shocked if you did here. What's going to matter is whose RR account is linked to the card.

Preboarding can still exist with assigned seating: you just have to preboard into the seat you are assigned instead of automatically getting the front few rows because you're first aboard. That's how the legacies do it.
Of course I should have realized that🤦🏻‍♀️we usually do the pre boarding and sit in the 4th or 5th row but than when plane lands we always wait to get off after everyone else so we don’t hold people up. So I guess we might as well sit further back instead of closer to front since we aren’t getting off right away and save the cost on the seats.

The 3rd quarter begins July 1st, so these changes are going to happen soon. I don't like the fact that almost the entire plane will have the same legroom. I read somewhere about the change to legroom and how many inches are lost with the new configurations. But I don't know where I saw it.

I just got an email from SWA yesterday that noted an increase in leg space of 5” on the 737-700

I'm a little disappointed that with certain circumstances (is it having the Rapid Rewards Card?), you get ONE free bag. DH's United Airlines card gives him 2 free bags, and my understanding is that most Airlines offer 2 free bags with a branded credit card. Are there other airlines offering just one free bag?

Delta is one bag with a Skymiles CC, not sure if the higher CCs that are Delta branded give more than 1.

United's lowest card, the Explorer is one free bag, to get 2 free bags you have to go up to the Quest with a $350 annual fee. Delta's cards are one free bag, American's cards are one free bag. United is the outlier in that either of the top two cards offer two free bags.

JetBlue offers 1 free bag for the card holder & up to 3 passengers on the itinerary with the card holder. SW will give a free bag to up to 8 passengers with the card holder. I think that’s pretty generous.
