Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

For my husband they’ve always pointed and said “CPAP?” or “Medical?”. I think it’s an exception. Doesn’t count against your two.

Hopefully that doesn’t change. No one has ever mentioned it to me but I have never had more than that and a purse so that’s probably why

I don’t think it’s airline specific , I think it’s a federal regulation.
This is correct. It's a federal regulation that medical devices don't count as carry on luggage.

Just sharing that My flights for spring break dropped in price earlier today. I hope that information helps others. It’s from San Juan to Orlando.

If that potential hurricane "Sara" does end up affecting Florida for Wednesday of next week, does SW give you the option ahead of time of modifying your ticket to fly in earlier? Or does it usually just get cancelled if the storm is bad enough? I am supposed to fly Wed. afternoon into Orlando from the mid-atlantic area but thinking of modifying to arrive Tuesday instead. The price keeps going up the longer I wait of course.

If SW believes there will be extreme delays or cancellations for your flight they will send you a notice to change with no price change in the fare.

Does SW usually have Black Friday sales? Our return flights in early March are crazy high right now, like $250-$300 per person higher than normal, and I'm holding off on booking until they hopefully go down. A BF sale would sure be nice right about now!

I checked my flights after reading your post and my flights had dropped $70 x 2 for a trip to Orlando in February.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know!:worship:

Glad to share! I’m probably addicted to checking if flights adjust in price or points, but every bit helps these days. Enjoy your trip!

Not sure about Black Friday sales. Costco currently has SWA gift cards $500 for $429. That’s a good bit of savings that may be able to help some! Good luck and I have my fingers crossed for a good sale!

Already have those gift cards for that price from when that sale started last month, but thanks for the tip. I'm looking to use them on the flight I previously mentioned that is really expensive for some reason right now.

I may book refundable fares from Tampa because they are half the price right now, then change or cancel them to MCO if the fares ever drop. I've already reserved a minivan to get us from DIsney to Tampa airport and even after all of that I'm still saving well over $1,000 and just losing about 2 hours for the extra trip to Tampa. We've done that before so it's at least a plan B for now.

I hope so! Some of the flights (not Easter) in April from Sarasota are 450 to 750 one way. I bought the gift card but at this point, I’ll need another if we decide to go.

I bought my tickets awhile ago SDF to MCO, our home airport is IND and can’t even afford to fly out of there. My DD and her husband have not bought their tickets yet for our April cruise, they were taking the chance that IND flights would go down. They are now looking at CVG. So much for traveling together, we will meet the next day at MCO to take DCL bus to the port.
I have flown out of IND for over 30+ years on delta express, AirTran and then SW and never an issue with price. These prices are insane!!

I just checked in for our flight tomorrow. I had two windows open..laptop clock clicked time, I hit checkin......too early, I jump to second window, hit check in and then scroll down to hit check in again. B52.
Double window is a good thought.

SW definitely a little late compared to time.gov. When I try to use that time, my first refresh is always early. Very annoying, especially if you're trained to grab VQs with exact timing, lol.

We also logged in at the 24 hour mark, B28 and 32. I didn't buy EBCI. That's 60 people in A. All the families. Preboards, who knows how many. And 30 people before us, if anybody is left. I should have just slept in, I'm near C group at this point. Things aren't like they used to be. I'll gladly pay for a seat.

A lot more people have been buying Anytime (includes EBCI) or adding EBCI to their WGA+ & WGA fares. Making it very rare to get an A if you check yourself in, especially the last year. We’ve been booking business select for the last 2 years because we want that guaranteed A. I’m more than ready to have assigned seating too.

We have been booking BS also. Ended up with A1 and 2 for a flight this week. When I added on the cost of EBCI and a drink to WGA it was only a few dollars difference. Well worth it to get the internet also.
