Curious about the next release I went to check...

As of right now "On August 01, 2024, our schedule will open for sale through April 07, 2025. (Date is subject to change)."

So it's going to be quite a bit of time until we get dates running through Spring Break and a bit beyond into early April.

Holy eff! A nonstop WGA from RDU to MCO is $329!!!!!! That is completely ridiculous for a one way fare. Delta is $391 for round trip and I get to pick my seats. I'm not buying either airline right now because prices are way to expensive.

Yep! That $329 is now $153, but the return fare has gone up from $144 to $173

I booked the first non stops of the morning on 2-1 and 3-1 to MCO around 8:30 this morning for around 9000 points each.The points have now doubled to over 18,000 to book.

As far as changing flight situations when someone other than you has gifted you their miles as a ticket.

I just went through this last month. My friend insisted on using her SW miles(she has a massive amount) to purchase a ticket for me because I was helping her with something. It was the lowest category on SW. I wanted to change the time on one flight to earlier but was worried that she would have points pulled.

I did change my category to a much higher one on both ends because I had recent surgery and I was concerned about seating. I made the changes online at SW and they charged my credit card with no issues. I do not know what would have happened if I had changed the flight times to a more expensive time. I wonder though since SW takes "cash" for upgrades, if you could investigate and see if they take your cash/charge for flight changes.

I agree...I'm down 60% from day of booking.

This morning at 7:30 the anytime fare was $672 and now it's $270 for the same flight. Seems like someone, somewhere made a mistake.

They were slightly less than our December flights. RT for our preferred time was $323- which isn't bad for February vacation week. Of course by 7:30 am price all WGA fares were gone.

Southwest Airlines announced it will stop serving four airports after reporting increased losses in the first quarter and more delays in the delivery of promised jets from Boeing.

The four airports are Bellingham International Airport in Washington state, Cozumel International Airport in Mexico, Syracuse Hancock International Airport in New York and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

In its quarterly financial report on Thursday,Southwest announced it lost $218 million in the first quarter. That was up from the $163 million it lost a year ago.

I booked right at open for the week after Feb vacation and was also shocked at what I considered low fares for that week!

I forgot to write down the cash prices but the points were a little over 9k each way

They already went down. I reserved on release day and was able to get some points back for the return trip about a month later and for the trip there earlier this week. I don't have much hope that they'll further decrease, but it's hard to say. I think when we traveled in 2021, one of our flights did go down a little maybe a couple months before the trip, but one went way up. If you are open to flying at the lowest cost times, ie arriving ate in the evening or leaving Orlando early in the morning, your chances are better.

Argh, I missed release date. I'm normally so good about being ready, but time got away from me. Had to shift our trip forward a day, thankfully there was DVC availability, in order to get all flights on points. This flight is going to cost us more than our round trip airfare to Honolulu last year. Crazy.

I need advice concerning combining travel funds. I want to book 3 tickets to MCO all on one confirmation #, with return trip booked separately, all on one confirmation #.

All 3 individuals have several travel funds, all with the option to transfer the funds to someone else.
Person 1 has travel funds of $51 & $36 - can transfer to someone else
Person 2 has travel funds of $51 & $36 - can transfer to someone else
Person 3 has travel funds of $237.98, $192.98, $51 & $24.80

I know about purchasing a flight with 2 travel funds + credit card, then cancelling the flight to combine the funds into one. How long do I need to wait after purchasing the dummy flight to cancel it and get the combined travel funds?

Would combining all the travel funds to one person’s account be best, then purchase a flight & cancel? Or how best to combine the points in order to purchase the new flights together, resulting in 1 confirmation # departing, and 1 confirmation # returning?

I’m probably confusing myself, so need your advice.
