Ok I finally found a better vow renewal picture. DH is the one on the right :) The Minister is the tall blonde on the left.

I love looking at the different decades!

I haven't seen any electric blue taffeta or satin yet, there has to be some out there ;)

:lmao: I read that and thought "that would be ME" -- although, it was pastel blue & pink for my colors! The absolutely hilarious part is we got married the day before Mother's Day -- The fact that my colors were Blue & Pink was totally accidental! I didn't even put 2 + 2 together until someone told me I might have a hard time getting a florist that was willing to do a wedding at the same time as Mother's Day. My colors were actually rainbow Blue, Pink, Green & Yellow but since I only had 2 attendants we ended up with Blue & Pink.

This was back in 1991. We have the "cake that never ended" story. We only had about 150 people but I believe our cake fed 250 or 300? Because I wanted a fountain and the bridges before I knew how many servings it was. As soon as I heard it, I instantly said we could just remove the bridges but my mother INSISTED since that was what I originally wanted, that I should go ahead and get it even though it would be tons of cake. I think we were giving cake away to random strangers by the end...it was hilarious. I really would have been just fine with a smaller cake but I could NOT convince my mother of it & she was paying....I guess she figured I shouldn't have to compromise on my wedding.

These are the only pictures I have scanned in. I also had 2 ring bearers but they aren't pictured there for whatever reason. The flower girl will be getting married this summer and my DD is in her wedding.

You remind me so much of myself when I got married. God, those 80s were something eh? I love this church!!!

I've loved looking at the thread. All my photos are in an album and I packed my scanner away years ago. I'll have to see if my daughter can maybe scan them on her computer.

Oh you should scan and let me see! Honestly I still love the dresses from the 80's, they are so forgiving, you can relax and feel like a princess instead of wishing you had gotten a little more definition in your arm muscles........

I'll try to get them scanned tomorrow. I just asked hubby to come look at your photos just to see what he thought. He immediately said how much we looked alike back then.
