Possibly planning a trip for early Feb 2014 (coming up soon!) Here is the issue, I cannot actually pay for it until mid January, so I am planning on booking it then. Will there be any specials do you think?? I see some for late feb/early march from mousesavers in the past, but I am hoping for early feb......

Can you pay the deposit of $200 now? The discounts are running out tomorrow for that time period. Your options will be much more limited if you wait until mid January.

I can pay the deposit, but the rest of the reservation wont be paid for until Jan 19th, which isnt 45 days. thats the big issue.

I see what you're saying, you're inside 45 days so they will want payment in full. Only other option I could think of would be if you had a credit card to use.

Good Luck! Sometimes your only option for trips that late would be through a TA. Disney doesn't usually have "last minute" type offers available through them directly. At least publically advertised. It would never hurt to call in directly and see if anything is available.

If you book the Room Only Discount Offer today, you need only pay a deposit of 1 night's room rate, the balance due at Check In. At least you would be saving a bit of money and can pay more mid January to fit your needs better. You can add the Tickets later, making it a Package and then pay it off in full at that time

This is what I was going to suggest as the balance for a RO reservation isn't due until check in, so once you make the deposit, you have until arrival to pay the rest. However, if you really wanted a package, you can book RO now as the above poster suggested, and change to a package later but that would require the RO to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring the total amount to be paid in full at that time since you would be within 45 days of arrival. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other, so you would have to wait for a refund on the RO rather than have that money transferred to the package. I have had refunds show up within 3-4 days, but it can take 1-2 billing cycles depending on the bank. Good luck.

Rumor has it, January 6th but it most likely will be for the Spring/Summer dates, not February. Is there another time you can visit ?

You could maybe snag some discounted room rates off of Expedia (or the like) but it wouldn't be a package with dining. They usually have some discounted rooms as the date gets closer.

Looks like this past year on Jan 3rd they released 30 percent off to the gen public again......for end of feb, that could work for me... I hope they do that again

Maybe you could rent some last minute DVC points if you can't find a great discounted rate. I even get emaills sometimes where people have to get them rented fast, I have had emails at $8-$12 per point. Usually availability is SSR or OKW, but, that can be a great deal.

The next found of discounts most likely will be fore dates from mid-April through sometime in the summer. Historically speaking it is highly unlikely that the new discounts will include mid-February.

Kind of late now but in my opinion you should have booked yesterday with a room only. The final payment isn't due until check-in. Only packages are due 45 days in advance.

The next round will hopefully come on January 6 and @should" be a room discount between 5% and 30% for dates from mid-April into June. They won't likely release further discounts for winter months.

I just checked online and the room-only discount, as well as the play, stay, dine, and save special can be booked until February 22, 2014 for arrivals between January 5 through to April 12, 2014, with the exception of March 6 through 13. Hope this helps.
