Possibly Postponing a wedding??

Does anyone on here have any experience with postponing a Disney wedding? For some personal reasons it looks like we might have to and I'm not sure if we'll get charged cancellation fees since we're at 6 weeks out. I'm crushed of course to have to do this, so I'm not wanting to call Disney until I'm 100% sure (will be this week though). Just hoping someone on here might have some info on what happens when you postpone.

maybe because your postponing it they wont penalize you...Id call & explain & maybe they will show some heart & let you move the date with no hassle

Thanks everyone - I'll review my contract tonight, I'm just not sure that it says anything about postponing. I know that there was a girl on here a while back that had postponed, so I was hoping she might still be around. I'll updated later this week when I know more.

I canceled mine with DFTW. But my deposit hadn't been applied. I really hope you can get things worked out the way that makes you happy.

FutureAshleyDukes postponed her wedding at least once...and maybe twice. I haven't seen her on here in a looong time. I think about her often...

If I remember correctly, they didn't charge her anything and just let her postpone it.
