My dh has decided he want to take DD10 back to Disney for her 11th bday. I have begged him to go back for months and he keeps saying no we go there to much. So since he has said we will go i am all over it. I was checking out airfare and it seems to be a little more than i have paid before for that time frame. I don't want to book the air tickets just yet, but don't want to wait to long. Anyone think they might be cheaper in recent weeks.

Can you post the airport you are flying from and the current fare? Kinda hard to tell if it will come down if we don't even know what it is now? ;)

Yes, they might go down. They might also go up.

It all depends on when you are flying and where you are flying from. Add to that, how fully booked the planes are already. If there are lots of open seats on the flights you want, then the price may go down. If the flights are already heavily booked, the price may go up.

www.kayak.com is a good website to monitor the rates.

I have been watching too, just missed some of the lower fares by a few days because we weren't in a position to commit until after that. Current plan is to drive down but still checking daily. The weekend flights seem to book up, so they don't have a reason to cut fares these days. I think we may have missed the window on it. On the upside driving will be cheaper and it seems that no matter what time we get to wdw it is always kind of a wasted day. Just keep on checking but if there is no plan b then you may have to pony up for the current high fares. Sorry...

I booked our airfare last week for mid April through delta and i'm SO glad I didnt hesitate! I checked the fare this morning and it jumped 25 dollars. You can see what class they are pricing you for right on the website. I happen to get U class, which is one of the lowest. If you can find a decent price then BOOK IT!

We booked our March fares in September. They have only gone up since then.

Highly doubtful they will go down as most of the major airlines raised their prices $10 each way just last week.

Not for Disney, but we've been watching fares for my daughter to come home for spring break. She flies Delta through Atlanta...

Last year we paid $250 total round trip so that was kind of my bench mark. Last week fares were running $277 total and my daughter encouraged me to wait a bit; I was ready to buy but I deferred to her.

Well tonight she noticed they went up $6 from this morning, and we decided to bite the bullet and buy now. Her best return option only had one more seat at the low price and I said that flight would only go up in price.

Despite paying more than last year, its not really MUCH more...I'm happy with the fare and think its a reasonable price considering we're only 9 weeks from the date of travel.

We fly out of St.Louis, Mo, we also can go to Nashville, TN but prefer not since its about an hour farther drive. I didn't figure the flights would go down, i just have not flew since december 2009 so its been a while wasn't sure about the prices they have been. I might just have to pay the extra since i am not currently ready to book.
