I'm sorry I missed the part of you staying at the DLH. You should be absolutely fine in Downtown Disney and to your hotel then. I thought the comments were talking about Harbor Blvd. Have a great trip!

So sorry but just want you to be safe. In the daylight I have no issues but in the night I felt a little apprehensive especially after hearing of break ins and seeing homeless by the Best Western Park Place Inn. I'm sure if you stay with a pack of people you will be fine. Just be aware of your surroundings. Heck its not safe in most people's neighborhoods anymore. So sad.

I really don't think this is fair. You did ask for honest opinions, right? People are allowed to give their honest opinions unless you say you don't want any negative replies at all. I actually agree with him--I have had that same feeling when staying on Harbor. This is Anaheim, after all.

The difference is that you will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. So I can say (as someone who has stayed on property and off many times) you will be FINE. There is a huge difference walking home at night on Harbor and walking home at night through downtown Disney to the Disneyland Hotel.

So being that you are stay at the Disneyland Hotel, I think we can all agree that you will be fine and have a great time. I hope you post your positive review when you get home.

No, you guys are right. Regardless of what is going on, I always have my guard up. I've never seen a homeless person in my life, or if I have I didn't know it.

I'm not going to lie, I am a little paranoid. I've been stalked, threatened... oh heck I've had a few bad apples in my life. It seems like if I smile I attract serial killers or something.

I had a boyfriend once who claimed to have lived in Anaheim most of his life and would tell me stories about how dangerous it is.

But I am now considering stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel, so the info about Habor is greatly appreciated. And even if I am scared, it's good to know what to be scared of so I can prepare myself when the time comes.

I solo all the time .. when not taking grandkids. DL & WDW
Always feel safe . lots of people around and some of the BEST trips I have taken BUT I would never let the grands know.

I will say it again....I have done trips where my girls and I are walking back to the HoJo or Tropicana at night by ourselves and I have never felt unsafe walking down Harbor. I've walked to the AP by myself at night and didn't feel unsafe. Yes, there are homeless people, yes there are police, yes there are strangers but I have never felt unsafe. I just walk with other people and I've never had any problems at all.
