Last Christmas, the kids were surprised with WDW park passes tied to balloons wrapped in a giant box. We have the whole thing on video and the looks on their faces was absolutely priceless!

We were considering going them tickets again at Christmas, for another trip this summer (we've told the kids point blank that we won't be going for a couple years lol) but I can't help but wonder if that will be too expected...

I can't help but think it would be fun to not tell them at all...either wait until we are getting ready to leave or shortly before that...is such a thing possible? It'll be hard enough keeping it until Christmas, but I can't help but want to step it up a little...

Thoughts?

We told our kids last Easter and I don't want to tell them this Easter bc I worry the next one they will expect it and be sad when It doesn't happen.

I would wait to tell them closer personally. I like a month ahead so they get to enjoy the anticipation. And plan a little. We can't do the tell them day of bc our house is small and nowhere to pack that they can't see :)

The first time, we kept it a secret for almost a year and surprised them by checking them out of school with the van already packed. We discussed with them going back the next Thanksgiving, but with the Spring Deal we saved a ton of money and surprised them again with the van packed on the last day of school.

We have kept our trip a secret. Leaving in two weeks and they don't have a clue and won't until we are en route. This is their first trip. I'm more excited about the surprise than the trip almost!
