Possible weekend snowstorm

80,000 people in 2 counties in VA without power.. No warm, fuzzy, fun activities for those folks in the cold and dark..

Also over 4000 car accidents in VA..

Doesn't sound much like a "yay" scenario to me..

Nothing plowed around here. The girls spent most of the day making snow angels. I can't even find my cars in the driveway and I am afraid to go to the shed for the snow-blower because I can't see the ramp and am afraid of falling. I doubt there will be school on Monday.

but do you have milk and toilet paper? That's what all the nuts around here shop for at the first report of a snowflake.

Haha, tons of toilet paper, 1 jug of regular milk and one of Lactaid for me. I only drink a glass a day and DH barely drinks his milk so I think we're good

Anyone know what time it's suppose to hit NY? I'm an hour north, its 6:40 and nothing. They keep saying we were suppose to get anywhere between 6-18 inches depending where u are but they've been saying that all day and nothing. I really love snow, especially around Christmas. Hopefully we'll get something.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want snow! I want snow!

I want to sit by the fire watching Christmas movies while inches and inches of snow fall. I want to drink hot chocolate while inches and inches of snow fall. I want to wrap presents while inches and inches of snow fall. I want to cuddle up with my honey while inches and inches of snow fall.

I am SO EXCITED!

I hope I don't end up with a disappointment now.

Well I did get my snow storm! lol

We got over 2 feet at out house. DD's school was cancelled on Monday, Tuesday and Today. She is off until January 2010.

My work was closed on Monday. Yay! I got a lot of stuff done.

On the downside, I totally forgot that I DON'T have a snow shovel! We used brooms to clean off our cars (b/c the garage is apparently a storage room) and used a rake to make a little pathway. Have you ever raked snow? Not fun or easy. lol

We really enjoyed our time being stuck in the house. There is still a lot of snow left but its the ugly brown kind now. eww.
