Possible to transfer reservations to another members contract

Hi ALL. I have a reservation in October at BLT that I am using my Contact and current use year. I don't think I will be able to go but my sister wants the reservation. She owns at SSR so she can't book BLT just yet but when it opens up can I call member services and we switch which contract the reservation is booked with? I know the answer is probably no but took a chance you all would have a suggestion. Thanks!

First, I don’t believe you can transfer confirmed reservations. Secondly, since it was booked with BLT points in the home resort priority period, you can’t switch to other resort points unless it was booked in the 7 month window. You could put your sisters name in as the guests and then she can transfer her SSR points to your contract.

No, it is not possible to do this. I have 3 UYs, so 3 memberships, and even I can’t get a reservation booked on one to be released and booked on the other.

Plus, if we were allowed to do this, it would circumvent the waitlist as if you would be in essence allowing someone to get ahead of others,

Thank you both! I didn’t think this would be possible but I like the idea of my sister transferring in points. Could I then reapply her points to be used against that reservation? I probably couldn’t do that Online but I wonder if I call member services. I’d just like her to “pay” for that reservation but I suppose I could just use equal amounts out of her account to book any plans I have.
Does it cost us money to transfer her points into my account?

If you booked BLT during home resort priority, you can not use her SSR points until 7 months and those could only be used to cover the days that were still available to be booked,

No cost to transfer points, but it’s a final transaction. Once you have them, they retain home resort at UY, so if different from yours you’d have to know what they would cover,

Plus, transferred points can only be used through calls to MS...no online booking or modifications with them

Have you thought about having your sister try to book the BLT reservation with her SSR points when the 7-months window opens up? If she's not able to, you can change the name of the lead guest to her name and have her reimburse you the costs of the points.

Or, if you'd want to stay at her home resort in the future, you could have her transfer that number of points to you. Just remember that transferred points retain their home resort and use year.

Thank you all!! We will try for the BLT reservation when it hits 7 months and try to use her points. If that doesn’t work we will just have her transfer points to me that equates to the reservation and I’ll change the Reservation into her name. It will be at the beginning of her use year so I should be able to use her points with no problem!! Thank you everyone!!!
