Possible to see Fantasmic, Fireworks & WOC on same night?

We are planning to be at Disneyland October 9-11. Thursday is the Halloween party in DCA (which we will not have tickets for). That only leaves Wed. & Fri as possible nights to see WOC. However, we are planning to use our Magic Morning on Thursday, so I don't want to keep the kids up too late on Wednesday night. That only leaves Friday, but we want to see Fantasmic and Fireworks (if shown) that night. My question is, would it be possible to do all three in one night (Fantasmic at 9:00, Fireworks at 9:30, and WOC at 10:15)? I kinda have my doubts that we would be able to make it from ROA (where we would watch the fireworks) over to DCA in time. Even if we could make it, would we have any chance of a decent view (keeping in mind that I am short and we will have two kids with us)? Just wanting to know if anyone here has successfully done this and if it was worth the rush over to DCA?

Yes and no...yes, it is physically possible to do all three shows, but you're going to have to compromise on the quality of the viewing. You can watch fireworks from the F! viewing area, but you won't be able to see any of the effects on the castle. You could try to make your way to Main Street for fireworks, but there is a good chance you won't make it all the way before the show starts. Being on Main Street would help position you for a quicker exit over to DCA. You'll have to hustle to make it through the crowds and over to DCA to see WoC, but others have reported being able to do so. So, yes, I think it's possible, but you probably won't have that great a view of fireworks or WoC.

If you're in the F! viewing area when the fireworks end, I don't think you could make it over to the WOC viewing area, and even if you made it on time, you wouldn't have a good view. I think you have to pick F!/fireworks (definitely the easiest to accomplish together), or fireworks/WOC (would be tough to get a decent WOC spot unless you maybe used a dining package? Certainly rolling into a FP spot at 10 will be quite limited options...).

When people talk about watching fireworks and WOC, they usually watch the fireworks from Main Street near Town Square, making it relatively quick and easy to exit and head to DCA. It can take quite a bit to get out of the F! bottleneck, onto Main Street... I'm not sure you could make it into DCA before the gates close at 10. It'd certainly be a letdown to battle and hustle your way over there and then not get in.

Skygirl1999 brings up a good point about making it through the crowds. You mention having two kids with you...are they young and/or still in strollers? If they're in strollers, I don't think you'll make it because it's always tough to navigate through crowds with a stroller. If you're willing to sacrifice fireworks (which would be tough for me to recommend because Halloween Screams is my favorite fireworks show and I would pick that over WoC without a second thought or any hesitation), then you'll probably stand a better chance of seeing WoC. If you're lucky, the bypass on Main Street might be open during fireworks, which should make getting out of the park quicker.

The entertainment calendar is not yet out, so there is a chance that there might be an earlier showing of WoC on Wednesday. That might be the better option that trying to get to all three shows in one night and not really having a good view of two of the three.

My kids are 6 (will be almost 7 by the time of our trip) and 10, so no strollers. I didn't think about DCA closing at 10:00. That really would be pushing it to try and get there in time. I think we will just be content with Fantasmic and fireworks. Thanks so much for the input!

That's your best bet. To me trying to do all 3 would be so stressful! I would be looking at my watch to make sure we made it to the next show. Like mentioned above, your view would not be the best if trying to get to WoC. Even fireworks after F! is a crap shoot. If you stay in the F! area then it is fine but if you want a more classic (castle) view you will have to deal with a lot of people trying to get near the hub and you might get stuck in an even less desirable spot.

Totally agree. The vast majority of the Fantasmic crowd will try to leave --via a pinch point-- to get to the Hub or Main Street to watch fireworks or leave the park. They run right into a full crowd that is already there for the fireworks. Unless you can squeeze under a rope into a back-row spot (where short people won't be able to see the castle), the CMs will keep you moving through the walking areas. If you can't see the castle you might as well just stay in the Fantasmic area and enjoy the projections on the water screens and have some elbow room.

I've tried it both ways with 2 adults and staying in the Fantasmic area wins, hands down. Or if you really, really prefer the Halloween fireworks, you'll need a Hub/Main Street spot and skip Fantasmic.
