I am looking in to buying DVC and was just wondering if I could use my points to get 2 Studios at the same time instead of getting a Villa. I know it would probably cost more points to do it that way but I just like having my own space if I wanted to bring family or friends with me on the trip. Thank you in advance!

Yes you can book 2 studios at the same resort at the same time, and it is less points.

And they will never connect to each other and might not be close to each other. But if you want a little separation from your friends/family, it works.

The good thing about DVC and the points based system, IMO, is that it lets you book things the way you want to book them, as long as you have the points to do it.

So, yes, if you decide to bring friends and prefer to give everyone their own room, you can certainly do that without a problem.

That is truly one of the great benefits of DVC over most other TS resorts. You have points to use and can configure your stay with any type and any number of villas over any number of dates that you would like.

Now the real benefit of course is that you are staying on property and immersed in the magic that is Disney. But the flexibility is VERY nice. :thumbsup2

I agree, and we just did this this past January. I booked 2 studios (1 for the ILs and 1 for our family) at BCV. It was very easy and like the PP stated, it was less points to do. Like you, we like to spread out in our own room then sharing with family. Even though they were not connecting rooms, our rooms were right next to each other.

We do this frequently when we bring extended family. Get 1 2BR for the kitchen and laundry and then get 2-3 additional studios. If we the same view category we're usually close to each other (but not next to).

Easy peasy, but do note Bill's point - there are no connecting studios and the rooms may not be close to each other.

We used up three years of points to get two two bedrooms for my extended family...and I know people have booked far more than that....whatever you have points for.
