We were on the Fantasy in April 2019, and our 4yo boy became buddies with another little girl. They were so cute playing together. We didn’t get any contact info - they don’t live near us - and don’t remember a last name. We figured he would forget about her, but he continues to bring up his friend and asks when we can have a play date! Is it possible to get a message to the family through Disney Cruise Lines?? Probably a crazy idea, but I think they would also love that he still talks about her.

I would think not. Privacy laws and all.

Have you asked on your Cruise Meet thread? Maybe someone there also met her and knows the name.

The FB cruise group is probably your best option.

As mentioned above FB Cruise Group is your best bet. And otherwise regular social media.

Do you have a picture of them together? Put it on a social media channel, tell the story, don't forget to put it on public and ask people if they know the girl and/or they can share the message.
Usually this works for people trying to find each other after 20+ years and some heartbreaking story, but I guess it could also work for short-term separations ;-)

I wonder if you sent your info to the cruise line, if they would be allowed to contact the other family and ask if they would like it forwarded to them?

It would be cute for the kids to correspond.

Hmm, I wouldn't want someone to post photos of my child on social media without my permission.
I get your point, but the only way to prevent that is not to let your kid take pictures with other people than your own family. If this family allowed the OP to take a picture of their children together, they can expect for a picture to end up on social media nowadays, without knowing if the person's settings are set to private or public.
A picture doesn't stay in a vacation album in a cupboard anymore, where no one else sees it.

It would be better to do it with permission, but the point of the search is to find the family. And without a name and a place, a picture is the last resort.

I also wouldn't like it if someone posted my child's pic, especially someone I didn't really know. Just because they may have taken a pic of them together, it doesn't make it ok to post it. The OP could post a pic of their kid with info and hope the other family sees it.
