I did ask on the IOA boards awhile about how long it took to go through IOA on a weekday in May and generally they said from about 9-3 everything can be done. I know the travel time between Disney and IOA is about 20 minutes give or take. We might take the Mears shuttle but I understand they run those often back and forth. Would it be possible to do IOA and a Disney park in one day? This would be in addition to another full day at the park, not the only time we are going. It would just be an addition type of thing.

Has anyone tried or done this? I'm thinking it might be tiring... but if we had enough time in between for a quick break?

We are two 25 year olds and don't really get tired easily :)

:wave2: We have been to wdw and ioa and I don't think I would even attempt to do this. My husband and I are 25 and 26 and when we went in May of 2003 it was fairly crowded and WARM. We made it around Epcot in an afternoon, but it was alot of walking I couldn't imagine trying to do IOA on the same day. You both want to be able to enjoy the day and see everything. why rush and end up regretting your decision and wasting your money! And another concern you have to think about are the hours the parks are open all of them keep different hours, different times of year. I hope my opinion helps, HAVE FUN no matter what you decide!!! :sunny:

Probably, but it is going to be tough. As far as getting done with IOA from 9-3, it depends on how much rides will you be doing and just how crowded it will be. I would suggest to stay on Universal property and for sure you will see/ride everything you wan at IOA. You can use the FOTL (front of the line) when you are staying on property. If not, then just make sure you have the "MUST RIDE" list and use the Express Pass (Fast Pass) so you don't waste too much time in line. Good luck.

I refuse to pay over $200 for one night just to get to the front of the line on a weekday in May. Not worth the money to me.

We did both IOA and USO and Citywalk AND Halloween Horror Nights all in one day so anything is possible.

I used to agree with you until I tried it!! FOTL is amazing so relaxing and you feel like a real VIP. ;)

As for over $200 a night we are getting the HRH for less than that for a deluxe pool view. So there are discounts available, you just have to shop around just like Disney!! Good Luck with whatever you decide.

BTW I don't think you would have time to do a UO park and a WDW park in the same day.

We would never, ever be able to do that. It wouldn't be fun for us. We like to take it all in - and we just can't by rushing thru the parks. I think we have more fun when we slow down and love every single thing we are doing.
