Possible special perks for our trip - need suggestions!

We had a very bad experience at BCV last year in October. My wife had a medical problem, which although not quite an emergency, required a hasty trip to an urgent care center nearby. Unfortunately, (and I won't go into the long story here), we had a series of very bad experiences with several CM's at BCV over the issue. Having gone to WDW since it originally opened, this was definitely not the norm, and we ended up writing a lengthy letter to WDW over the incident. They were very responsive, and we ended up getting an apology - but more importantly, they told us to call a particular executive a month or two prior to our '03 visit (Thanksgiving week), and they would work with us to make our next visit extra special.

So, my question for my fellow DISers/DVCers out there - what kind of suggestions would you make that BCV could do to make our trip extra special?? A particular room request?? Other things we haven't thought about??

Thanks

I'd ask for a particular/favorite room view and maybe help getting a reservation for one of the "hard to get" PS or fireworks cruises.

Do you have any little princesses who desperately want to have breakfast in the castle with Cinderella and the other Disney princesses? Since you will be there over Thanksgiving, is there a special place you want to eat Thanksgiving Dinner? Would your family enjoy an Illuminations Cruise? Maybe you could ask to go on the early morning safari that is usually only offered/available to AKL concierge guests?

Those things are popular and hard to get, but you won't come across as greedy because you aren't asking for them to pay, just help getting the reservation. And who knows? Maybe you'll find that they do arrange to "comp" you anyway.

Hope this trip is way, way better than your last!

Thanks for the reply, CarolMN. Great suggestions, particularly about the Illuminations Cruise. We've already thought about the Storybook Breakfast or Cinderella - but we'll try to get those on our own first.

Or maybe you could call the executive a few days before the 60 day PS window opens (even though it is earlier than they suggested) and let her/him figure out how to get the castle for you. IIRC, the Illuminations Cruise is a 90 day window.

Good luck!

I would ask for romantic dinner for two somewhere and a night on Breathless with the spouse (and the kids back at the room with an in-room baby sitter.) Or, if sitting in the boat isn't your thing, maybe dinner at the Rose & crown on the terrace.

Or, if you want family magic, then there is also the Grand Marshalls of the MK parade to think about.

Have fun..........

The Candlelight Processional usually begins the night after Thanksgiving. Why not a PS for the CP dinner package that Friday night? Some of the restaurants are hard to get into for the CP and maybe they can smooth the way.
