I've just finished scanning about 70 older WDW postcards for scrapbooking and stumbled upon an interesting card.

Here's the postcard as scanned but the countries look like they are in the wrong order to me (France, Italy and America) but Italy's buildings are correctly aligned.

I flipped the picture horizontally and the countries still don't line up properly.

Is it the perspective? Or what?

The error postcard came in two different Epcot postcard packs shown below:

It looks like the front view and a back view...no?
Writing is flipped on Moulin Rouge.
Or maybe I don't understand scanning lol
Reflective on the water?

I don't know why I am on this thread....:teeth:

It is just a photoshopped image for a postcard. They wanted to show those three countries, since they are likely the most recognizable, in terms of landmarks.

If I recall correctly, Illuminations at one time had a combination lights/laser show. During this, I don't think the buildings which were lit were necessarily the same countries they represented. I may be wrong about that. The other possibility is that they manipulated a couple of photos to get what they might have believed were the three 'most popular' counties in the same picture. U'll have to go through all my old WDW photos to see if I took any photos if this. I may have taken 8mm movies instead.

That is one of my theories too! Nothing like a little Disney artistic freedom.
