Possible pool hopping question?

First off, I'd never consider blatantly pool hopping, but...

We'll be staying at Pop for bulk of our trip - yet the kids REALLY want the pools at CBR, so we're doing our first night at CBR. (was going to do CBR our last night, but just find it easier to do it our first.)

We'd arrive late, so no time for the pool our first evening. Planned on spending the next morning at CBR and using the pools and enjoying the resort for a few hours before checking in at Pop.

But am worried - what if we get rained out from swimming on our only day there? In a case like that, would they let us come back another day during our stay to use the pools? Anything I could do?

If we stayed at Pop the whole trip, that extra night would be covered free with the 4/3 deal - instead we're giving up that free night to pay more to stay at CBR just so the kids can experience the pools there, which for me is a nice chunk of money spent, so am sure you can understand my worry about getting rained out from our reason for staying there.

Technically, they do not have to let you come back another day. However, you can always ask to speak to a manager when you are there, explain why you stayed there, why you aren't staying there longer, and would s/he be able to allow your family access to the pool when you aren't staying there.

I know when we were at The Yacht Club, they checked keys very closely.

You can still swim in the rain. They only close the pools when it's raining so heavy you can't see the pool bottom or when it's lightning. We swam during our last vacation because TS FAY just wouldn't leave!

If you can't swim that day and then check into Pop you would no longer be a resort guest of CBR.

I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to swim your first day, in my 12 trips to Disney I have yet to have a day where I couldn't swim if I wanted to.

You can always ask, but the answer will most likely be no. What you want to do is pool hopping. You are only entitled to use the pool if you are a guest of the resort. Otherwise, people could do split stays and then still use both pools. Just realize ahead of time that you are taking a chance, and if it storms, you will be out of luck.

Have you compared the price to an entire CBR stay with the 4/3 offer? It may be cheeper since you are now paying for every night, including one at CBR.

You can use the pool from the moment you check-in until midnight the day you check out. After that, you cant. Hopefully, things will work out for you. If the pool is so important, you might want to look into what a PP wrote and try to get the 4/3 deal at CBR for your entire trip. Then you wont have that worry any more.:)

Personally I would do CBR last. I think your children will be spoiled by CBR's pool then to switch to Pop could be very disappointing!
