Hey everyone,

Most of you know I love to sing and play my guitar. Well, the other night when my Mom went out with the Pharmaceutical guy she has been seeing I was playing and singing up in my room. He commented to my mom that I was really good. So my mom kinda forced me to play something for him that evening. He then told me and my mom that he went to school with a guy who is one of the heads of an Independent Music label in Nashville called Tri-Beka and that he thinks I should send a demo into him. Well, I told him I don't write music of my own and only play covers and he said that it didn't matter. I have talked to my Mom and she said if this is really your ambition , which it is then I should do it. So , as nervous as i am right now about this I am going to do this. There are no guarantees that the producers will like my stuff, but my Moms date is going to send it in and highly recommend me. Everytime I think about this opportunity I just want to scream. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

wow that is sweet. One of my regrets about the band I'm in is that we never sent in any demos. We played at a couple battle of the bands, and some parties but that was it. Now, we are all in college and it's hard to find practice time. good luck

Thanks, the good thing is it is just me and my voice and guitar. It makes it a lot easier that way with practice and stuff like that.

So here is how it is going to go for me. The guy my mom is dating found a recording studio and I will be recording 3 songs for my demo cd. I first must get the songs down really well before even entering the studio, because the least amount of time there, the least expensive it is. I still however want it to be as professional sounding as it can. So the songs that I have been working on are as follows:

Mad World: I chose this song because it is one of my favorites and I feel most comfortable with the guitar and vocals.

Time Of Your Life: I chose this song because it is a change of pace and is a more up tempo song.

Behind Blue Eyes: I chose this song mostly because of the way I arranged it was so different then the original Who version. I wanted to show versatility.

So most likely in a week or so I will be heading into this studio and getting this process rolling.

Em just a thought but, I think you should attempt to start to build a fan base. (Other than us xD)Like how people post videos of themselves on youtube and such.
I mean, lets say everything goes great they like your demo and want to sign you and make a record. But who will buy it if no one knows who you are ?
Just my opinion.

I have really dreamed about this for God no how long and now there could be like a chance that it could happen and I am so nervous and also so excited about the whole thing. I mean I go to bed at night and it is the only thing that is on my mind.

Just talked to my the guy my Mom is seeing and he spoke to his friend who is one of the Business Executives for Tri-Beka and he said he is looking forward to hearing the demo. He also told him that what they are trying to develop right now is an all female band with a rock/punk edge. He however said I may be a bit young for that , but me knowing how to play several instruments and sing is a plus.
