I mentioned to hubby last night that is was only around $300 for us to go to the fort in Oct 07 with the AAA discount. He said IF he goes he wants it to be a 2 week roundtrip vacation that means we get 9-10 days at the fort. So for 10 days at a perferred site with AAA is less than $400. We want to be there for Halloween but not sure when to go. We will have my daughter who will be 4 1/2 and a 9 month old baby....any ideas when the best time to go that will include Halloween?

We are going next year in August. The value season starts July 29th next year. A prefered site is $55. We had to pay 6% tax but we got a 15% AAA discount makeing it $49.55 per day. Is it a prefered site that you had in mind? I wondered of you knew about the tax. I heard it went up too but I have not been notified that my total had changed.

We went the last time over Columbus weekend and we could have done the MNSSHP. This year it runs from Sept 15 to Oct 31.

Hope this helps!

thanks, I did know about the tax. for the perferred site with the 20% value season discount fromthe disney site I can get it for $495.00 for 10 days...we have 5 days left over from last trip so all we need are a pass for my daughter. we are going probably doing the halloween party ( not on halloween) so that gives us halloween to trick or treat at the campground and go to the movie. plus we want to do 2 days at seaworld. That only give us 2 days not at a park and more time to relax.

The best time of the yr for us is Oct.

We always go last week of Oct and first week of Nov.

Well, we are going to arrive on 10/26/07 or 10/27/07 and we don't plan to leave until 11/04/07. We will drive down from Atlanta and spend the night somewhere on the road. We may or may not stop along the way on the way home.

We are going to skip MNSSHP, since we went this year. We had a good time, but it's not a must repeat sort of event for either of us. I am planning to go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal though. I have never stepped out on the Mouse, so I do feel a bit guilty, but I love a good haunted house, and I understand that they make some of the best.

One reason why that the best days guide is all 4's & 5's, which makes for some great low crowd park touring. :thumbsup2

Happy planning! Maggie
