Possible: last chance to ride Astro Orbitor

Yea I can't really say I'm heartbroken about this either :confused3

Yeah, I am not a huge fan.:confused3

Now one thing they shouldn't have taken away from Tommorrowland is Transit Authority.

BTW Diznygrl I love your signature with IASW. But why would the little cowboy not belong? Ha, kidding.

I am not sad either.

I am 5' tall. I always have the hardest time getting in out of the little rocket thing.

Good riddance.:wave2:

I won't be sad either...it honestly reminds me of a carnival ride. :joker:

Personally, it's not one of my favorites, but I hope they put something similar in another part of DL for the kids who DO like it (too bad they got rid of the rockets in the first place ::: shakes head ::: )

Personally I would prefer it if the rocket jets returned to their former place, where the Observatron( ) is now. The main problems with the Astro Orbiter is 1)it clogs up the flow of traffic going in and out of Tomorrowland. That area should be more open. 2)the ride is infinitely less thrilling being so close to the ground vs. riding the jets high above Tomorrowland where they used to be.

Nope. I won't miss it either. Not only are the darn things hard to get into but the stupid seat belt hook always digs into my leg. Now I won't have to come up with a good excuse to get out of having to ride it with my DD.

My youngest daughter will be so sad.:sad2: Last time we went she went on that ride with dh or I about a dozen times in 2 days. She loves it.

Can't say I'll miss it, either. :wave2: Let's hope they take away the "moon rocks", or whatever they are, that clog up the entrance to Tomorrowland, as well.

i do miss the original Rocket Jets, though. There was something about being so high up off the ground that was so much fun; I remember as a kid I'd look to see if i could locate whatever hotel my family was staying in on Harbor Blvd. ::yes::

Awww...my DD loves this ride. Granted it is a PITA for me to get in and out of it with her but hearing her laugh, giggle, and say "UP" the whole ride is worth it!

I have to say that it won't really affect me, however my DS will be devastated! We have just been do Disneyland Paris and he we went on that ride over and over and over again :rotfl2: , drove me crazy.

We are planning on a trip to Disneyland California this year and he has had the photo albums out looking at our last trip to Disneyland of photos of him on that ride saying "I can't wait to go on that at Disneyland" :sad2: Oh Dear, I won't tell him it's going.

This was my first thought when I saw the news.

What's the Astro Orbitor?
Here's a photo of Eli Manning (NY Giants' QB) and his wife Abby McGrew riding the AO:
