Our local news has "reported" that the female body was wearing maternity clothes.

Lacy's brother has stated that he hopes that it is Lacy and Baby Conner.

The Cornor is doing a press confrence at 8 this morning.

OMG! the news just stated that the "bodys" head and leg were missing??

They also mentioned that it is possible for a pregnant women to give birth even "post mordum"

that Scott Peterson did this to his wife and unborn son. I hate when people are accused with little or no evidence against them. Her friends were saying, at the time, there was no way he could have harmed Laci, etc., etc. As the news about this man, his infidelities, his post-disappearance activities, and the like developed I began to wonder. Now a female body and nearly full term fetus with umbilical cord attached washes ashore a few miles north of where he was allegedly fishing the day they disappeared. . .the coincidences are becoming too great!

All I can do is shake my head in dismay. . .

Very sad, no matter who it turns out to be. In the article it said that the head and legs were missing from the woman but that she could also be a drowning victim. How could a drowning victim lose her head and legs?? I hope they are able to quickly i.d. this person so the family can have some sort of closure.

Sorry to be grusome but in reply to the last comment re missing head and legs from people I work with it is quite common for bodies retrieved from the sea to have body limbs missing. This is because the marine life is carnivorous and will attack and destroy any human body parts.
One quick question not knowing the area the bodies were found in was it saltwater or freshwater?
Any way its such a sad event for whoever the family(ies) may be.

A man kept 4 women/teens in a dungeon for 2 years as sex slaves

A woman shot and killed her 7yr old learning disabled child

A rapper killed his roommate and ate part of her LUNG to boost his "gangsta" image

Last I heard was that police were denying that the head was missing...I missed the news conference though...

They didn't say much at the news conference. but they did say that the Modesto police are having one at 7 est.

It is just something people can't comprehend - it is so heinious. My heart goes out to Laci's family and the gruesome details they must envision is unthinkable.

A situation like this happened in Boston a few years ago - Charles Stuart shot his pregnant wife and set it up as if they were robbed. He was after her insurance money. For many weeks, we believed his story and felt so sorry for him --- a fitting ending for him, he jumped to his death off the Tobin Bridge (coward).

The news conference is on now. The family spokeswoman just read a statement from the family.... my heart breaks for them.
