possible January discounts and resort options

We will be going to WDW in January and Im hoping for a 30% off discount or SPD discount. My DH, DS(10), and I will be there for 11 days. We hope to stay at AKL, WL, or PVR. I have checked previous year discounts but I cant find the resort exclusions..... Does anyone know if any of these resorts are ever excluded in the January discount rates? Thank you for any information you may have. Sandy

none of those were excluded from the deals last year. some weeks don't have availability but none were blacked out. Last year wasn't really that good of a discount, and with attendance up this year I would be surprised to see a better one come along.

I'm waiting not so patiently to see if there are January discounts too! Think I might go ahead and books something to do my ADR's in a few days, but really hoping for a AP R/O discount. We used to be pretty loyal to WL, but that was always Christmas time. Now that we go when the decorations are down we aren't picky, but usually try to stick to deluxe, although I'm thinking of trying CSR to try something new and save some $$$.

You don't need to have a resort booked to do ADR's.

I thought having a resort reservation let you book at 180+10days, but without one it was just day by day at 180 days?

Correct, my apologies, I should have added.... unless the 180 + 10 days are critical to your dining plans. You didn't mention that you were looking for the + 10 days.

Many people don't even realize that dining reservations are not dependent on staying on site.

Gotcha, sorry! I should have been more clear! I really don't NEED the +10, but just knowing it's a possibility makes me want the chance, haha!

Do you know which resorts, if any, were excluded last year? I would love a room discount for BC or Poly for marathon weekend!
