Positive Thoughts Needed.....

I goofed BIG time. DH was shipping an expensive item to our Godson last Sat. Well I was in the bed ill and told him get the address out of my book. Neglected to tell him NOT to use the one with the apt number as that was an old one. Only reason it was still in there was because other address' on that page were still current. Still I should have crossed it out or something...I know, I know. So what addy did DH use...the WRONG one. I tracked the package last night and it was delivered Mon. That's when I realized he had used the wrong one. Problem is now obtaining that package. Will it even be possible. Is there ANYTHING UPS can do for me? Will the insurance be valid since we mailed it to the wrong place? My bff is going to attempt to go to the addy today to see if they will give it to her but DH is thinking if they opened it and seen what it was probably not. I just feel SOOOOOOO bad. I couldn't even sleep good because of this.

Well thanks for 'reading' my vent. Pray for me.

I hope you get your package back. I had a friend in a similar situation. Her package was delivered to her neighbor. They opened it! But they did return it. Hope you have a good outcome.

I put the wrong address on a package for my mom once. It was delivered to the wrong address. UPS retrieved the package and delivered it to the correct address.

Definitely call UPS and see what they can do. Also do a reverse look-up and see if you can find the name and phone number of the current resident at the wrong address. Maybe you can make some arrangements with them to get the package to the right address.

Is it possible for your Godson or his parents to pick up the package from the other person?

Well it happened to be delivered to an apt. so I was able to call the office and they are going to contact the person to see if they can bring it to the office. Then my bff will be able to pick it up. IF that doesn't work I'll try to get it picked up and re-delivered. Problem is hoping the person doesn't say 'I didn't get it' even though I can prove it was delivered. UGH..what a mess. I still can't believe I did that.

All worked out! On Thurs afternoon the apartment office manager managed to retrieve the package from the current resident. On Fri. my bff picked it up and by Fri night my Godson was VERY HAPPY!

DH is happy and no longer mad which makes me happy. We are good Godparents again. LOL!
