Poseidon's Fury - skip or don't miss?

my ds who is 13 was really looking forward to going, and he was so disappointed. It was sooooo lonnnnnng and boring. Maybe if they added an actual ride to it, that would help, but you walk, and you wait for everyone to join you, you stand until the actors preform, then you walk to the next area. It is on our skip list for the next trip.

b/c some people say "don't miss", i'm thinking that i'll send my DH & mom in while I stay w/ the kids by the fountain, walking around, etc. my kids may "get through it" but it doesn't sound like something that they'll enjoy at their young ages, 1 & 3 - say the kids will definitely "skip it" - thanks for the feedback. does anyone know how long the tour lasts? 30 mins.?

Hey...

It is one of those attractions that some people love and some people think is boring. Personally I enjoy it very much. I do think some younger children might be scared as it does get dark and is loud.

i went on it today(i dont know why i just wanted to) and when we got to the final scene where the wall drops down it didn't work so we missed it an had to get off
i say its a waste...but u really have to go on it to make your own descision

I took my boys through it at that age. The 3 year old actually cried. The one year old could have cared less where he was. My sons are not chickens at all, either. On the same trip he rode Tower of Terror with no problems and they have always gone on anything they are tall enough for. I would say just leave the kids out if you are not that interested in it yourself. It is not enough to really capture the kids in the story line anyways. When we were back there at ages 6 and 4, my 6 year old loved it and my 4 year old could have still cared less where he was. The fountain is very cool and they will love it. It will talk to them and spray water and stuff. Or you can just hang out in the water play area in the Cat in The Hat area. They can stay there for hours.

On a side note, I have always put my kids in swim suits and brough a towel. There are very many places to get wet in the parks for little ones and they will find all of them. You may even want a swim diaper. They have lots of things like that to keep them busy while adults ride rides.

We went on it and were all disappointed. It was also freezing in there (not a particularly warm day outside) so while it might be welcome in July were cold and bored before it started. The water tunnel thing was cool, but the rest of it, standing around while some hammy cast member tried to make you believe you were trapped in a cursed temple (and usually I do get into these things, but not this one!) was really terrible. My YS (5 1/2) got very bored as he couldn't see - not bothered by the dark or noises, just not inspired by the backs of people! And the animation at the end was frankly substandard.

There are many more enjoyable ways of getting cold and damp - any of the water rides for a start!

We usually go once a trip but lately we have been skipping it cause unless you get right upfront the little ones cant see and its just not fun for them at all. My youngest even when upfront doesnt care much for it. I like it the most out of my family...the water tunnel is worth it for me. If you havent ever done it...dont skip it, see it once.

It used to be better....but I still think it's a very unique and cool attraction to see, even if the storyline is a bit corny now.

Oh BTW, it is not a ride, it is a show with 3 different rooms.

OMG! My 11 and 7 yo boys made me leave last year. The 7 yo started crying in the dark room at the very beginning- it was awful. The longest walk out of an attraction to boot! Never again.
