Portside or starboard om European cruise

We booked one of the European cruises for next summer. Plenty of availability. Right now have a veranda on the port side forward. Is this a good spot. Really want to enjoy the views. TIA

Not sure which Europe itinerary you're on, but here's our experience with Norway last year. We had a port side veranda room. At all the ports, the ship tends to back in, so we had port (city) views after docking.

Hmm. Do you think better to have starboard side? We booked the 10 night Mediterranean cruise on July 28, 2017. So excited!

It all depends. I was always up on deck 10 as we came into port so I could see all sides. Once we docked, I had a view of the port form our verandah. I like to see the comings and going on the pier.
