I really want to try and take a nice portrait shot of my two daughters when we head to WDW is September. Any suggestions on where to take snaps. I'm not talking about the traditional castle picture, but something a little unique. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but I can sometimes take a nice shot of my girls :)

Thanks in advance!
Love looking at everyone's photography!

Try in Epcot, in The World Showcase, 1st spot in Italy by the hanging gardens or the fountain. A PhotoPass photographer took some great pictures of my wife and me. 2nd spot the bridge leading into France, near the rear entrance to Epcot. Also, the Grand Floridian Resort has some great spots!

Here are some non traditional spots:
Around the Boardwalk
Balcony of your resort
Main Street at Night
Sit in front of them on Dumbo - shoot from above

For lighting, I love using this in the parks:

It fits in the laptop spot in my camera bag. And with a voice activated light stand (the wife) you have very portable light!

Here's a couple that I've done.

Hope that helps!

Think outside the box. Try places that are not normally thought off. Beside a large gate, the door way to a store room which are all themed like the rest of the park but not so obvious. Also use your depth of field you will know you are at disney if the castle is blurred in the background you do not need to have it in focus. We shoot family portraits here all the time (with WDW permission) so we get a feel for good places in the park to go but DONT make them sit and smile at you as it will just look like another cheesy holiday pic. Give me a shout if you want more advise (go through my site below).
