Portofino/ticket question

I just read from a disney post that an onsite hotel put the park passes onto there room key. Does anyone know if the Portofino does this also? One less thing to carry around would be nice.

Yes, I belive they do. You can also charge back to the room with your Portofino room key. Portofino is excellent...we will be there for the 5/6th time (lost count), this weekend.

Great to hear thanks. We are going first week in december. Do you have any hotel pointers. I dont want to miss a thing. What kind of passes do you buy for the parks??

When we were there (July), the park passes were NOT on the room key. They were totally separate. The room key is what you use to get your express line access.
At Disney our room key was also our park pass.

We just returned from Portofino Bay today. What a magnificent hotel. It was our first time and when I return to Florida again I will never stay anywhere else.

We purchased our Universal tickets from the hotel and received seperate tickets for the parks. You can get a 10% discount on the tickets if you are a AAA member. You can also receive 10% discount on food and merchandise in the parks when you show your AAA card. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe in CityWalk and got 10% off the meal by using the AAA card and another 10% on merchandise we purchased on T-shirts and stuff.

You use your hotel key for the Express Lane for the rides and shows at the parks and use the ticket for entry into the parks.
