Portofino or Desert Inn & Suites

Portofino, Desert Inn or Best Western Park Place Inn?

We stayed at the Park Place the last time and just saw new photos of the renovated rooms. Would like to stay there again but their rates are higher plus they now charge for parking.

Which one would you recommend?

Bringing 3 kids (1 is a teenager).

I haven't stayed at the Portofino, but just read reviews on TripAdvisor that deterred me from wanting to stay there - most of the "bad" reviews were consistent. By looking at the room set-up at the Portofino, if your teenager doesn't mind the little ones, then the Portofino may be for you. But if your teenager wants some privacy, I'd say the Desert Inn, Parlor Suite - A. You and the little ones could have two beds in one room and your teenageer could have the sofa sleeper in the other room with a door between the two. I can't comment on the BW, as I have not stayed there as of yet. Hope this helps!

We stayed at Portofino last year. I read a ton of negative reports on tripadvisor; but was locked into the hotel thru WDT. I was so freaked that I called WDT to try to change the ressie. They just didn't have anything comparable available at that time. So I stuck it out and glad I did
we didn't have any problems, and definatley none that were listed on tripadvisor. Most of the complaints last year were of smells. I have a sensitive sniffer so I was panicked. I didn't smell anything odd at all.
I would stay there again, especially if I needed the kids suite. We thought it was a good hotel

We decided to go with Desert Inn mainly because of the distance AND privacy for my teenage nephew. I think he will appreciate having his own room instead of sharing with the 2 little ones.
