Portofino Club Level

Hi,
Was interested in hearing reviews about the Portofino Club level. What do they have to eat? Is the club room near your hotel room? Any reviews or picures would be appreciated.

We love the club at Portofino. The room is quite large and we have never had a problem getting a table for our party of 5 (sometimes 8).

There are 5 different food offerings, starting with a continental breakfast in the morning, usually a fruit cup offering in the mid morning, gelato in the early afternoon, appetizers with beer and wine in the late afternoon/early evening and then dessert in the late evening.

There is no separate club floor, so some of the rooms can be quite a hike. While the standard club rooms are deluxes, anybody can add club privileges to any room for approximately another $75.00 a night. This can be done at check-in if there is space available.

There are some pictures in the Portofino sticky at the top of the page of the breakfast set up with a description of the foods offered. I will try to dig them up and post them again.

we have stayed club level twice, and both times we were on the same side of hotel as club room, but still a bit of a hike.

It is very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed all the daily offerings. The fresh fruit in the mornings was really nice. Our daughters loved it. I liked it being in the location it is. No big fuss getting to it. We did have a lower room as I wanted a patio and not a balcony. We had a fantastic patio looking out on the bacci ball court and pool. We planned to go in and eat or drink then head out from there. I would go down early and get a coffee for the wife but other than that we loved the location. The room is large and the staff very nice and helpful. We played chess every night we were there and enjoyed the adult beverages! Very realxing. It was well worth the $ to us.
I hope to do it again. We also have done the RPR and it was great too!
