We are planning a one night stay at Portofino Bay in September. Do y’all think that Club Level would be worth it for an extra $80 for the night? We would probably eat in the lounge at least for breakfast (twice) and one dinner. It will be me and my husband and we aren’t really open to close park people.

Thanks!

We stayed Portofino Bay CL one night over a Christmas holiday. I prefer CL at most WDW hotels but if a couple can eat 2 breakfasts and one dinner for $80.00 that sounds reasonable and worthy.

The breakfast offerings are both hot and cold. We stayed one night and opted to eat dinner at an Italian restaurant on premises.

Have fun!

Are you booze with dinner people?
For only $80 and getting 2 breakfasts & dinner you are probably making out well either way. More so if you grab a few drinks, either booze with dinner or just canned/bottled to take with you to the parks/room. The breakfasts are definitely worth $10/person with the options they have, and the beverages.

Hi if you are staying only one night you will only get breakfast on checkout day. They have changed the rules and no longer offer club level on check in day. I stayed there in November after staying there many times and when they refused to let me in that morning they told me the new rules. You get the evening reception and breakfast the next morning. You may get snacks after noon on check in day I was in the parks all day.
I will not stay club level anymore because of the one less breakfast.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Hey Bobbie! Are you sure they don’t let you in the Lounge on Check-in day? That doesn’t make sense and really bad if it’s true. I know about check out day no lounge past 11am.

Hey, I would like to know too, if Club can be accessed early on check in day, like as soon as someone checks in.
Currently, the only premier hotel on the Wed night we'll be there in Oct, under $500.00, is Portofino, but club level. Don't really want to spend that much, but had hoped we could have breakfast too on check in day. Otherwise, we'd just be using it for breakfast on checkout day...assuming we can drag ourselves up early enough after HHN,
Hoping for a cheaper rate, but so far, that's the best I can get for the Wed

Ok folks, I just phoned Portofino to find out. Apparently they had a change of management for Club level, and it seems like there were some glitches when @bobbie68 was there. But they assured me that everything is ironed out and you do have CL access when you check in.

We are thinking of staying in a Club Level room in mid-January. Are the renovations expected to be completed by then? Thanks

We stayed PBH Club level for a week in September. Also stayed there a few years back as well.

We were a little concerned about the refurb in our months leading up to the trip. Our Travel Agent contacted us offering a swap to RPR of HRH Club. We were on the fence as having stayed at both resorts before (RPR 4 times), although we love them, we feel the Club offerings are inferior to PBH.

However if you are concerned about the refurb, look up Bigtime Myrtle Beach on YT. He also talks to some of the staff to get the inside knowledge. He's been doing a weekly walk round of the refurbs for 8 months now. It made us decide to stay and glad we did. The completed bits look really fresh. The bits they are currently doing aren't too intrusive but no idea what they'll be like in January.

To the OP. If not taking full advantage of the Club, is it too late to swap to RPR Club for the Express Pass? Love it at RPR but the PBH Club is what swings it for us as we ususally stay a week. Although 480 sounds a great price tbh - DW and myself have a few glasses of wine in the evening so that would cover $80.

johnandmaz - Thanks for the reply. I have looked at those videos and we decided to reserve there for January. We are not fussy folks, so some cosmetic issues are not a concern. I was more worried about construction activities and detours for walking.
