Has anyone had dinner here lately? How was the food quality, prices, selection, service, etc.? Any info appreciated!:teeth:

We ate there about 2 years ago. It was THE BEST! We are planning on eating there again this October. The appetizers were fabulous and I had a pizza as an entree (you know, one of those fancy gourmet pizza's!) and my DH had a roasted chicken. They were also coming around doing a wine tasting. It was great.

Sorry nothing recent. We were there about 15 months ago. Best meal we have had at a Disney restaurant. My wife had the rack of lamb, son had a kids pizza and I had the Parmagian crusted ribeye steak. All were wonderful. Service was very good.

It's the best restaurant in the DD area, IMHO. You can check out the prices and the menu on the Debwills website.
If you go, ask for John Combsas your server. He's been there for a long time, and even has his own website about the restaurant.

Uncleromulus I am always in agreement with your opinion about Portabello. Also a huge favorite of our family. We have never had a bad meal there and I love their "vino con fruita" . We always make sure we get a pitcher full! I was wondering if you had the link to the John Combsas website, I'd really like to take a look at it. Thanks! shook

It has been a few years for me also, but Portabello tops my list of excellent Disney Dining experiences....well next to V&A's :)

The menu is great, has something for everyone. The service has always been awesome.

Thanks for all the information guys! I also took a look at John Combs link for more information.

He mentions that the Portobello is part of the Levy Restaurants group. Isn't Rainforest Cafe also owned by Levy? Are their GC interchangeable? :):):)

Oops! Just saw that RFC is part of Landry's not Levy's!:p

We ate there a few weeks ago and really liked it. My DH said it was one of the two best meals of the trip (Teppanyaki being the other). We didn't try the pizza but all of our pasta dishes were really good. The atmosphere was also really relaxing and fun. We would definitely do it again if we had the chance!
