I’m planning on counter service and snacks while in the parks. What are the typical sizes. Enough for two?

We often order off the kids menus in table service because the adult portions are way too big. Many of the quick service meals are also alot - especially if you'll be snacking. I have two teens ( one a boy who eats A LOT), and we often split two full size meals between the 3 of us. And I don't enjoy being in a hot thems park and riding coasters on a full tummy :)

For a normal eater - no. Most items are portioned for one person except for specifically stated large meals. You can find splittable items in a few places, but even if you do, they tend to be priced like splittable items (ie - more than a normal CS/snack item).

We are large eaters. I mean we eat at LOT. However, when at Disney, we actually order kids meals most of the time because in the heat we dont eat as much as we normally would at home. And when you drink more (and you'll def be drinking more there walking around in the heat) you just wont eat as much food. I wouldnt say 2 adults could share an adult burger/fries type of meal but you could def get full off a kids version of the same meal.

If you split meals from your local takeout then you will be fine (ie DH and I will split a McDonalds burger and 2 fries for dinner and we found the same portion size applied at DW)
Not really applicable possibly but I always carry cereal bars etc for DH, sometimes you're not full after a very small meal but you can snack to fill the void!
Also, may not be applicable to you (just something ive been researching for our next trip) most places which serve kids meals dont have to include the normal fruit or smoothie option. You can order for instance double fries on mobile order. That could feed two people, or if they were very hungry maybe that and a side?

And no, I have not been obsessively looking at every menu on MDE since we rebooked for the 2nd time... 2̶0̶2̶0̶ 2̶0̶2̶1̶ 2022 will be amazing!😂

DH and I tend to either order 2 kid's meals at CS, or 1 adult and split it. The rule is that if we aren't full after, well, that's what Mickey bars are for.

It's almost always enough for us, though.

First of all great user name.
Second that's a fab point you make about the heat, nothing worse than traipsing around the parks in 100000 degree heat and 100% humidity with a gut full of angry fatty fast food...

I think you'll get a better idea if you look at several menus, and then ask about specific meals you are thinking about. Even then, nobody knows how much you eat, or what you consider filling, but you can get a better idea. It really depends on the cs meal. Some are pretty big. I'm a pig, and walking in the heat and going on rides, I can usually split a cs meal with my s.o., but we normally have a few snacks that we bring along for munching in between meals.

So, for example:
Pecos Bill Fajita Platter - I'd say it's enough for two. (personal opinion you didn't ask for: It's horrific)
Flame Tree Rib Platter or Rib&Chicken combo - I'd say it's enough for two.
I'd say all of the 1/2 chicken dinners everywhere are enough for two

Such a hard question. If you are a big eater no, it won’t be enough. If you prefer smaller portions and graze all day sure, it can work. You can also not order a combo. Everyone has a burger and fries for example. It’s not on the big menu but you can also order the burger w/o the fries and share the one fry. We do this a lot. I just want a few fries but I want my own burger. If unsure what is possible ask. They can be very flexible.

I am not a big eater and usually have food left over from most counter service places. I would not say that it is enough to share with 2 people though. Now, many of the sit down restaurants give way too big of portions. Yak and Yeti being a notable one.

I really depends on your appetite and how much you normally eat. They are too big for me, like others I order the kid's meal at QS and often, even with that, I end of taking my fruit with me for a snack later on. I'm not a big meal person. Some days my adult son and I can split an adult meal, some days he can eat it all himself. We almost always share an adult breakfast, like the bounty platter but he isn't a big fan of breakfast.

The bounty platter is a great share for small to average eaters. And not too much to start off the day. Plus then snacks!
